Enlightenment working for ANYONE?

"Everyone receives the same amount of Enlightenment for a 24-hour period. Think of it as a clock; when it strikes 12:00PM, everyone has Enlightenment added." Right from the help tool. Thus no matter if your logged in, on vacation, or sitting on the pot you gain it all the same.

Can someone please tell me where I see the 'E' I've accumulated? I see nothing in the character sheet, XP/CP bars, etc. that mentions it?

Sorry, there's one HUGE difference which makes it very different .. it does nothing to help people LEVELING who can't play 24/7.

During the very brief period I had it (between receiving message and using wayshrine) the CP bar below the XP bar was highlighted in the color of the tree I was working on the point for.

It would seem that in at least some cases:

If you lose enlightenment you lose all XP gained from it as well as CPs earned.

In other cases:
Some people are getting perpetual enlightenment.

Glad you are looking into it but I agree with others that @ZoS should also think about how to reset or balance it if this goes on for a week +

Enlightenment is 400% bonus right? A gap like this over time for those that have versus not (due to bugs) is just plain nasty.

But after you've used up your enlightenment you can get this bug where sometimes the notice comes up when you don't actually have any and drops when you zone, or do some other certain tasks (like joining/leaving a group). In essence its "fake" enlightenment, looks like a display bug more than anything. Now for people claiming they never got enlightenment to begin with I can't comment on that other than make sure you didn't already use yours up

Totally agree with this post. So many guildies, myself included, get fake enlightenment where the game says your are enlightened, you actually see the XP fill up quickly towards next CP but when you zone, log off/back on it reverts back to what you would have accumulated as regular XP. And I've yet to get true enlightenment, it will be 48 hours for me at 4:50pm PST today. I logged in Tuesday 4:50pm PST, logged off at 12am PST and back on at 4:50pm PST the next day, no enlightenment

I havent seen or heard any real proof that anyone has 'perpetual enlightenment' yet. I had ~3.5 CP worth of enlightenment this morning. I'd need hard proof of it before I believed anyone has unlimited enlightenment, otherwise it sounds like people are trolling or fear mongering.

So as I see it: some ppl already 90CP because they aren enlightend since patch release nonstop.
I havent even earned a CP because i did not get any enlightenment yet..and yes the other guys play more than me.

So there i sdef smth fishy.

But its okay, I mean it will not matter when i get my 75 CP points and others already got 200. L O L

Ah, cheers, I see a green icon before the words CHAMPION POINT but the CP bar itself is all black, I thought by now I'd have accumulated some 'E', maybe I'm suffering the bug then too.

In my case, unless it is possible to use all of my daily enlightenment on a dozen or so trash mobs totalling less than 10,000 XP to test whether or not I had it (And this is before the message popped up), it is definitely not a matter of having already used my daily allowance up. I have not.

If I never really had the enlightenment to begin with and it was a display bug that said I did, my question becomes why I have to wait more than 32 hours for mine (not at home now so I can't check to see if I have it after 36 hours) after first veteran log in when others got theirs in 24 or less.

There is a cap on how large your enlightenment pool can get. Not sure if they have announced what the cap is yet.

I believe the cap is 3 days worth of enlightenment.

I'm aware of the cap, I assumed it was measured in CPs (actually XP) not days. For example the cap is 4 CPs worth of XP. In other words if you're at the cap (i.e. 4 CPs worth of XP) then you would exhaust your enlightenment after gaining 4 CPs, then continue at the regular pace.

I wonder is it possible that because I logged into all my alts to improve my riding skills did I lose my enlightenment, whereas my healer didn't log into their alt and was receiving the correct enlightenment XP?

I logged into non veteran mules, and have accumulated no enlightenment at all since, even though I made it a point to not go on a non vet character for a day and a half now

. This is a real problem to say the least......

Last night at the stroke of midnight I recieved enlightement. No, it wasn't a bolt out of the blue. If it's only supposed to last one champ point, there's a happy problem on my end since it lasted through 2 CP and I still had enlightenment when I logged off. Not complaining, but it seems very inconsistent across different characters based on the earlier posts in this thread.

Well if anyone actually does have it they sure aren't going to come in here and tell everyone about it. They're going to rake in points til their fingers bleed for as long as it lasts (or until they fall over).

I guess we just have to wait for ZOS to take a look and sort it out. However long that takes.

Like i said earlier, I had about 3.5 CP worth of enlightenment when i logged on this morning, but it definitely wasn't indefinite.

I had it happen twice yesterday where I began working on my main. The meter showed I'd accumulated 60kish xp under enlightened, but when enlightened vanished I dropped down to 28k. Later when I'd done a great deal of pvping and left with over 220k, when enlightenment faded it dropped me down to 160k. I've also noticed that some quests didn't seem to award the same amount of XP. While doing crafting writs I kept checking the bar. I'd turned in a quest and it did not change. The other two I turned in seemed to give a very tiny amount of xp. I'm not sure if that's correct or no the number I was looking at was 180k xp, and after turning in 3 crafting writs it only went up to 182k.

My enlightenment has been appearing on and off. I have had times where I got the message I was enlightened, wayshrined somewhere, and was no longer enlightened. At one point I gained enlightenment whilst collecting xp. I gained a warrior champion point, but when I wished to spend it, I could not. So I relogged thinking it may have been a ui-bug, which made me lose my point altogether and bumped me way back into the warrior-point xp bar.

It really makes actively collecting champion points a bit demotivating. I now constantly have the feeling: do I get to keep this xp I am collecting right now?

I've never had enlightment so far (VR14 character).
A guildie got it x2 and has already 78CP (VR14 character).

Like in the early VR and early Cyrodiil this risks to create quite an huge gap.
I hope this time it will be addressed.

For the rest I agree with @Snit about alts.

No Idea, but just not getting it is killing me to. When I do get it, poof its gone so i guess the only option left is just rerolling and hope the next character ain't bugged out the wazzoo.

Along with the fix can we get some sort of reimbursement, even if it's only to fill our enlightenment up as much as it should be? It'd be sort of annoying if you ironed this out only to restart our enlightenment clock at 0 when we're missing 2 days worth by this afternoon/evening.

So i eventually gained enlightenment, but what is the duration as it seems its been on for a while now? Already gained 4 cp's since it began and on handing in a random quest, i got 333k xp

@ZOS_GinaBruno I did an hour of AoE grinding with a partner last night.

During this time I received ~1.5 million experience and was fully enlightened for the first 1.4 Million. My partner didn't receive any and got only 325K or so.

I got 4 champion points (74 now) and she only got 1 (71).

How is the disparity between two players even possible this early into the system?
