In the meantime, you can do a couple things to help speed things up. For one, the tool automatically defaults you to a damage role - if you're comfortable taking on a healer or tank role, be sure to choose those as well! Also if you're looking to run a dungeon, choose "All" if you have no preference, and it will group you with the first available.
Gina,
I am wondering what improvements you guys want to add. We all know there is a Healer & Tank shortage, we also know the reasons for that (rude players in party, high responsibility, not much to gain besides the blame...).
I don't know any MMO that managed to fix that, so I wonder what you have in store.
Besides that, we have nothing to gain if we group up at ESO. There is no social score system that rewards players for being friendly, staying in a dungeon group until the end. Other games offer points that you can gain by playing with others, these points later can be used for a housing system (ok we don't have that either...) but you get the point.
Right now dungeons only serve one purpose, to run through while the daily is up and for this you wont find many tanks and healers as the general "blame" is always on them during those runs if a wipe happens.

- What role(s) you picked
- What activity you chose, and in which location if applicable
- Your class and level
- Were you queued for PvP at the same time
This has got to be one of the more important problems, and would also likely be why I can't find a group for Craglorn at VR1.It's also because everyone has to be within 2 levels of each other.

Gina was simply proposing a temporary solution to those people eager to run dungeons without preference. And the undaunted quest line does start at the beginning of the game. Although you level it up through achievements and not pledges. I'm not sure what you're trying to fix and how you would fix it.ZOS_GinaBruno wrote: »Also if you're looking to run a dungeon, choose "All" if you have no preference, and it will group you with the first available.
Just about no one does this because there are very few people without preference. Almost everyone is either doing a the undaunted daily or the set of dungeons for their level or specific ones they missed leveling up.
You want us to select "all"? then give us a reason. The Undaunted quest line should have been available to all levels and required a group to be formed using the "all" option. That would have solved the grouping issue.

I recommend using the chat window and hoping for the best.

Vet 1 dragon knight queuing tank and DPS for dungeons both normal and vet, never find a group until 15-20 min of asking in zone chat. Other times it's with my lvl 27 Templar for both DPS and heals or my lvl 42 night blade, spend over an hour in queue and resort to zone chat. In all honesty I believe it's more a lack of people using the system and those who do often don't change their role from DPS which in turn clogs the system with a role nobody is looking for. This was addressed in a livestream I believe, the one with Paul Sage. And apparently clogging the system with DPS is part of the problem. Not to make the game like WoW, but their system is similar to what ESO has. The difference is you get asked to select your role when you queue. For example, I want to fungal normal, I would select dungeons, fungal normal, join queue, before it adds me to the queue a window pops up asking to select role. Doing it this way forces people into selecting the role they wish to play. If people want to DPS it the whole way with no heals or tank leave them to zone chat. As it would be harder to implement a "challenge" option and select roles of all tank, all heals and so on. The change mentioned above and one of the other comments that mentioned a menu system would drastically reduce wait times. If people can just join queue and never even pay attention to the fact they are queued as DPS when they are meant to be tank or heals the system will always overflow.

Healer/DPS
All Dungeons Vet
Vet 6 Templar
Not queued for PVP
I have not had one group since reaching Vet. Didn't seem to have a problem before Vet.

You've done too much to destroy player confidence in this system (what little there ever was) for anyone to bother relying on it in the future. I sincerely doubt it can be salvaged. Asking in zone chat has always been a more productive means of finding appropriate group members. Now that LFG is seemingly completely unresponsive regardless of whether or not anyone else is even actually attempting to use it, it's very hard to imagine anyone continuing to make the effort.
ZOS, you were initially very vocal about how wonderful the new LFG system would be, a useful tool which we were told would help facilitate and assist with the inherent and plainly foreseeable difficulties forming a group poses given the new dungeon scaling system (one which effectively allows players ranging from level 10 to VR14 to run the same exact dungeon).
However, you've accomplished the opposite: you've killed it for good. Future fixes are most likely unimportant now. Public opinion is in and it's a stain that won't wash out: LFG doesn't work. No one likes it, no one needs it, and no one can be bothered with the hassle of trying to use it. As long as that is the majority opinion, it will remain a useless tool even if it is fixed for the small segment of the population with patience to wait however long that may be.
Let this be a lesson before your next premature update.
