@ZOS_GinaBruno
Ever since the 1.4 patch, i get massive lag and stuttering in both PvE and PvP.
There's a stutter that completely locks my movement every other second and there is a general lag in responsiveness to any of my inputs.
Before the patch, i would get a steady 60 fps pretty much anywhere. Now it mostly between 15 and 30, if i'm lucky.
Something ain't right!

Not having lag, but having that Server - Client command processing limbo stuff...
Where your character keeps doing the last thing it was doing and not responding to keypresses.
This results in
- Running off cliffs
- Running into mobs (unable to fight/defend)
- Running away from Quest voiceover
- Generally useless command limbo...
Use to have this issue primarily with my DC character. Noticed it on my AD last night. Not sure if that part has any relevance - no high traffic or FX going on, either.
I would not think an SSD would cause this issue by performing too well. Mainly installed to eliminate load time and responsiveness.
No system should count on the latency of a piece of hardware to decide when/what to do next. It could compensate timing, one way or the other, to adjust for it, but should not rely on the slowness of anything to assume it has processing time.

I'll give that a try tonight and see if i can confirm good and bad server IPs ...Eve_Knight wrote: »BAD server: 198.20.200.25

- Close the patcher.
- Disable hardware acceleration in your web browsers.
- Update your video drivers.
- Disable add-ons.

We analyzed our traffic to the ESO client with netstat and noted that we were connected to different addresses (presumably different load balancing servers). I then relogged, got a different server, and the problem is gone!
BAD server: 198.20.200.25
GOOD server: 198.20.200.162
Hope this helps. Please flog the .25 server.
Update: I see I change servers when I change areas, too. In this case, I entered Mzulft and ended up on the .156 server. It's not as bad as .25, but is still inexcusably poor.
Update: Relogged. Now I have .157...we'll see how it goes. Also bad. *rolls dice again*...
Got .157 again. Still problematic. Relogging yet again...
I keep getting .157. Maybe if I restart the whole client rather than going to character select.
Got .25 this time. Probably still bad...yep, still bad.
.25 again. I'm finishing this quest and switching to Diablo. *sigh*
Friend's good servers (to which he's somehow simultaneously connected whereas I only get a single one) are .162, .38, .26, and .35.
Now that I've left Mzulft, I seem to be connected to both .25 and .35. Seems okay so far.
Went into Cragwallow at 20:14 Eastern. Now I have .31 and .25. And lag is back.
Switched to Cyrodiil. .25 and .36 now ... and Cyrodiil went well.
Went from Cyrodiil to Wayrest at 21:36. I now have .161 and .25.
