Hey ZOS! Please tell me you guys are working on this issue. The game ran perfect before update 4. This lag/hitch in the game is ridiculous! Still no update on this issue??? Not going to resub until fixed.
Are you going to hold your breath too?
Have you tried de-fragmenting your drive?
It could be the game code or more likely the interaction of the game code with specific hardware/drivers and systems. If it is effecting well under 1% or .001% of the gaming population we would likely see it here in the boards, it would be very difficult for the game builders to find and resolve.
Myself I experienced lag one night only for about 30 min. That could be a whole lot of things besides my machine and the game engine/servers like internet/isp congestion.
I's suggest going though your system with a fine toothed comb and look for any drivers that could possibly by updated even if it doesnt seem directly relevant.

My system is up to date, including all drivers. I even went as far as completely wiping the entire game and reinstalling. This problem did not exist for me until update 4. Plenty of people are having this problem as well.
/Sigh

Based on folks' commentary and system specs, I think a lot us complaining here are running good-to-excellent equipment with highly particular settings and full awareness of the currentness of our drivers and associated software.
