I'm really considering rolling a sorc, they seem to be the best class to play in PVP, particularly when stealthed. You can kill a V12 DK sword & board heavy armor tank, who is riding their horse ( me) in 3 seconds flat.
I got knocked off my horse, was flat on the ground, then I got knocked down again. I ALMOST stood up when I was being attacked, but 100% of my health I was pretty much stunned. I know the sorc was stealthed and I was on my horse, which means the sorc had the advantage in this "fight".
I don't see why anyone in their right mind would roll a stamina build (which I did). Not that it made much difference when I was being attacked, but if I'm doing the attacking it's going to take longer to kill someone than a sorc.
And people who say sorcerers are being nerfed and are useless and who whine and moan about their precious bolt escape being nerfed. Learn to play.
As you can see this guy must have proc'd crystal fragments, in the end he got a lucky 5% chance insta kill on me. Unfortunately you can't proc any stamina ability and you can't insta kill with any stamina ability.

Using a two hander from stealth you can one shot a sorc if you play your cards right, too bad they all run magelight and you never get to play your cards right. A ranged damage that with a cc should never of been allowed to hit that hard when you spam cast it, it should be more of a once off skill to cc the enemy or if they want it to do high dps, get rid of the damn knockdown. If they put a one second stun at the end of strife, everyone would go nightblade. My friend mains sorc and he can 1v1 overland bosses that are 2 vet levels higher just by spamming crystal shards and kiting... stamina builds just really arent in a good place right now and its really upsetting, I changed my nightblade to a nightstick last night because I was sick of it... dps almost doubled.3 -
Necronomicon✭✭✭I just gave up my vt12 templar and rolled sorc, this class is really op almost god mode like just re-roll you wont regret it I promise. All you do is spam crystal fragments and morph it to instant cast for mass amount of damage, its kinda fun actually.5 -

No you cant... Uppercuts sneak attack crit damage is nerfed against players. I can hit an NPC for 2.5k with it, but I sneak attack crit a clothie for barely 1k. Ive gotten 1.3k against some noob players, like lvl10 lol. Still not the 2.5k I could do to an NPC.3 -

Your stats in terms of survival are very good, but in terms of damage output is terrible. but we only care about survival in this case, there is no reason someone can kill you in 3 seconds before you react, unless its an op class. and btw all classes are op except templars. so there you have it

How about you learn to block so you survive more? Or use your interrupt? Or use Dodge to dodge the slow ass projectile from Crystal Shards?

The way you reduce it more than heavy armor can, is switch to light armor because they get more spell resist :P Could at least take off like 50 damage or so that way.1 -

CheesyDaedra✭✭✭I still don't know what i did wrong, i stealth attacked a nightblade with overloaded heavy attack, V. curse and C. Fragments and HE ended up killing me in 3 seconds and not losing almost any health with his MLG PRO 1337 SKILLZ MIX V12 BETTERTHANYOU L2P PLAY THE GAME AND BE REWARDED WITH OP STETS.

)) well then don`t ride your horse when ganked... as it had nothing to do with the class or spell or ability attacking you, you can`t get out of the horse CC.
It was made like this so people who ride their horse through an enemy ambush die... working as intended.
You could ask them to remove the horse stun, i doubt they will... but it has nothing to do with your attacker.0 -
Zero_Tolerance✭✭✭I'm sure I didn't see all your threads, but ones I've seen tend to start with you riding on your horse and being ganked. Well, don't use a horse, or use the one with max stamina.
You do have a valid point there, playing a tank spec should possibly give you a bit more than 3 or 4sec of life when ganked, but think about it - non-tanks die in 2-3 secs in situation like that, so you do get a time advantage to react.1
You should try it, almost 600 damage with crystal fragments. The best I can hit is 322 with a stamina ability.
