ffs grow up and get a clue.
The only way it is going F2P is all the players going away.

We are not blind. We just took our rose colored glasses off. They hired people for the pending console release. They delayed the console launch. Those temporary workers were laid off early due to the delay. It's a completely normal occurrence.
I agree that the first part is very innocent.
It's the next part the is bad.
“Four weeks ago, another 50 were let go, and over the last few days, another 20 or 30.
“It’s a disgrace how workers were treated. If they showed up at 10.30pm for the night shift, they were being told to go home at 11pm, that their jobs were gone,” he said.
If you don't see this as a bad sign, I don't know what to tell you.

Or maybe a real journalist for once, who knows...
I have already decided if i dont see an EU server when im back from holidays in September im gonna find a new game, and this is the first and last time i say it.
I doubt that this is anything more than tangentially related to EU servers.
If anything, these were a bunch of CS phone reps they hired to handle the population boom at launch, but when the EU servers weren't ready to go Zeni went:
"Why are we paying all these temps to provide CS for a server that we don't have yet?" Let's let them go, and re-hire when the server is ready for play."
You dont think they werent there to handle EU accounts? These people spoke french and german with english, something 99% of americans not from mexico cant do.
Obviously you've never been to Louisiana, Vermont, Northern New Hampshire, Northern Minnesota, Wisconsin.

Hmmm... I'm making fun of the people saying the game is going F2P.
I was relating personal contracting experience and informing people that weren't familiar with the concept that temps are used everywhere and are essentially have no rights, but they know this going into the role.

If this is actually true, I have no interest in giving money to a company like this. I'd rather give $15 a month to someone laid off from ZoS.
I think it's safe to say this is the reason this game is dying off fast.
I just went back to SWtoR. Dropped a dime there too. Wow. F2P in that game works quite well.
Sad.

Whatever the spin.....if you turn up for work and are told to go home an hour later cos your job is gone......
If they can treat staff like this then what hopes do the players have.
Are people in this thread just ignoring the fact that TEMPORARYS were let go. When ZoS starts laying off SALARIED employess you can start doomsaying.

"Essentially have no rights." Wouldn't that essentially be slavery?

Hell, Blizzard laid off a bunch of CS (regular ones, too, I think) a couple of years ago or so. It didn't really affect their customer service, as far as I could see; a bit of a wait time, maybe, but I've had worse ones.
As for treatment of employees, well, that goes on everywhere. And you have to understand, as a temporary worker, you're bottom of the totem pole, and lucky if you're not considered some sort of scab labourer. Believe me, this sort of thing is NOT unusual to a temp/casual worker. Yes, we ARE peons who are only there at the company's disposal and need. For us, the company is just there to give us our next damn paycheque and some food in the fridge.

So in general, if a company doesn't owe any loyalty to its workers, the workers don't owe any loyalty to the company, right?

While I do take your point as I even thought something similar myself. I think your missing something. Who hires that many people and lets them go in such a short space of time, if things are going well?

Considering how in the crapper America is? Wouldn't be surprised.
That or they get bought out by Chinese gold-farmers.

Be quiet troll. The horse has been officially beat to death. No matter how many different people tell you, "it happens - get over it", you try to spin it to be a doom fore-teller for ESO.
If you hate the game that much, stop logging on to this forum. I think you've trolled Zone Chat so much everyone has you on ignore, so you try it in the forums.
