It may or may not be true, but just take a look at your guild rosters... scroll down and look at how many people have been gone for 5 days or more... It's depressing

"Up to 300 workers at multinational gaming and software company ZeniMax Online Studios’ base in Galway have been let go over the past two months.

Up to 200 employees were let go after just three weeks with the company – including a week of training.

The workers at the facility in Rahoon are understood to have been hired on short-term contracts, but were let go prior to the completion of the contracts.

The Sentinel was unable to make contact with a representative for the company or its recruitment agency yesterday.

One employee told this newspaper that he was hired in March with around 200 other workers on six month contracts, but has now been let go.

“In April, the company said it wanted 200 more workers. They went through a week of training, worked for two weeks and were let go. These would have been people taken in on two to six-week contracts.

“Four weeks ago, another 50 were let go, and over the last few days, another 20 or 30.

“It’s a disgrace how workers were treated. If they showed up at 10.30pm for the night shift, they were being told to go home at 11pm, that their jobs were gone,” he said.

It’s understood that there are now just over 100 employees at the European customer services centre in the Rahoon Business Park (near B&Q)."

Sketchiest site? Looks like a regional Irish newspaper to me, based on other articles posted on it.

And none of them were people who design or create games. Nothing to see here. Temps not needed anymore usually are let go.. lol.
Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.

That is not good news at all. These were the customer service reps they hired for the EU side of things. If they cancelled a six month contract after a few weeks, thats REAL bad, as that also cost zenimax money, but they must have been losing more by having the staff. Cutting that much CS that early means that players have been fleeing the game.

I think they will be golden if they can get the console version out. Console folks are going to eat this up. It's not the best MMO, but its gotta be better than spiderman or whatever you get on consoles.

A whole bunch of customer support issues are resolving themselves over the next 24-48 hours, which should alleviate some of the need for extra CS personnel.

I doubt that this is anything more than tangentially related to EU servers.
If anything, these were a bunch of CS phone reps they hired to handle the population boom at launch, but when the EU servers weren't ready to go Zeni went:

"Why are we paying all these temps to provide CS for a server that we don't have yet?" Let's let them go, and re-hire when the server is ready for play."

LOL, hopefully the game can last that long.

TBH, we all love this game, I just think their price model was a really bad idea.

In the end, no matter how many people cry F2P will get them quit, that may be the only, and correct option, I just hope it won't be too late.

Interesting, but doesn't have me worried just yet. They were temp jobs, which very well could have been initially hired for the initial console release prior to the delay.. I'd bet some people got laid off on the NA side of things too when consoles got delayed.

I'll probably start worrying when I see signs that the developers are getting fired... or permanent jobs, not the temp stuff.

That makes a lot of sense.

On the other hand, sometimes, Zenimax does not make any sense.
