Okay, I like to feel like I am "there", so I walk unless I'm running to a dolmen or running for my life, but it seems as if everyone else is trying to rush through the game. Or is it?
Using humour as a form of comfort and dismissal now for what we choose not to try and understand? We really are ticking all the boxes, aren't we.Rev Rielle wrote: »Rev Rielle wrote: »cisadanepajsuxrwb17_ESO wrote: »Humans' competitive nature isnt it. Yes cisadanepajsuxrwb - there is that: human competition. There is also the widely proven herd mentality of 'not wanting to be left behind', often even while not knowing what one is in pursuit of, or headed toward ;o/.
I feel certain we don't live in a cave anymore because our intelligence provides comparision of convenience, comfort and even luxurious surroundings versus living the hard life. The whole 'if everyone else is doing it, it must be valuable so I will too' thing is somewhere on the most introductory layers of critical thinking.
Exactly.
And the sad part is; people even often go against the own nature in an effort not to be left behind. Which in the end just leaves them often frustrated, confused and even angry.
Then I guess they head to the forums and post in frustration as some sort of sub conscious form of therapy
You two should ease up on the self-righteous pseudo-intellectual analysis, you are making fools of yourselves.
Ah, mating call of the insecure: Putting others down to make oneself feel better. Well done.
Hahah Maybe you should stop projecting on gaming forums for a bit, it's sad

But It's really okay, just because people have different views than your own I'm sure doesn't in any way reflect negatively on your ego or manliness.

Because some people aren't lame enough to pretend they actually are the character on their screen. You picked the wrong game for larping bro.
Why? Because it's faster. ...

I can also understand that all these fruitloops running around, especially galloping mounted players, would break your immersion and be somewhat annoying. I don't have any suggestions to fix that for you unfortunately other than, maybe, take the back alleys; there's less traffic there.

I just had to lol at this. Guess your life is too hectic to read that the OP is far from living in his parents basement rent free. Sorry you can't get in and accomplish anything, but keep your inadequacies to yourself, as I know not everyone has your gameplay issues. I, for one, hit the "Play" button and start playing within 45 seconds. Gives me 3 to 3 1/2 hours of solid game time each and every weeknight (which I spend playing with the family that you touted in your post).
@rrood41828 I'm with you. Some night's that my wife and I get online, all we accomplish is a few hours of fishing, walking around and maybe getting a quest or two done. Other nights, however, we do run around from place to place. It really depends on our mood.
Everyone pays $12-$15 a month to play how they like. No one's way is right, except to themselves.
Heck, maybe you even believe that!rrood41828 wrote: »Well, of course I'm a writer, so my level of imagination is at a higher level than many.

I was only asking a simple question, not looking for a juvenile answer. I expect people to play the way they like, but I have been whispered quite a bit by people wondering how they could set it up like that.
