Magical Anomaly crystals no longer grant experience or Veteran Points. The boss creatures that spawn at the end of Magical Anomaly encounters are unchanged.
At least on paper.
It seems like they putting in a cooldown on looting chests or a respawn timer. It just depends on how long the cooldown or respawn is. If the cd/respawn is as long as a run to an anomaly, that cuts the loot dropped over time in half. If it is as long as two runs, it cuts it by two thirds. You'll have to find out the duration of the cd. That should help slow down the price crash in purple mats.
The bonux xp from the crystal probably won't have that much effect on the mindless groups who didn't respect the kill order (hint: you kill the elemental add before you destroy the red crystal for the bonus xp). Some of them actually thought that getting the 2x xp was a random occurence. No joke.
"seems like"
"or"
"probably"
where are you getting all this "reliable" info from? I would love to see it.
All we have to go on are the official patch notes.
Do you have a better source?
No but making assumptions based on incomplete information is asinine.
Really, like your reply. I made an educated guess based on what is in the patch notes. When the server goes online, that's when we can see how educated or not.
Some of those people who would have been grinding will also just decide to unsub.
I really don't understand the logic of this. Could someone explain, please?
Thats your logic, and we must explain? You a funny guy.
I'm sorry. I'm not good at writing, as you can see.
I gather that they want people to do the Craglorn dungeons.
But I still don't completely understand the logic of Zenimax's decision on the nerfing. What do they want to accomplish? It's an honest question. Maybe you can help me out since I'm a little slow.
Do they think people are going to have more fun? Will they go back into the VR+ and ++ zones?

I took my VR3 there for the first time yesterday and ran around for a couple of hours harvesting nodes and chests. The only players I saw were mounted hordes running from one Anomaly to another. LOL.There have even been screen shots posted by people that have been able to get into that area and explore.

Most people will still farm this instead of going through the hell of the VR7+ zones for barely any xp.
Just like lots of 'vet' players.@Iseldiera being a veteran of something doesn't necessarily mean they are good at it.
ZOS needs to make the Veteran leveling experience in the faction zones more rewarding and satisfying if they want players to return to questing there. People gravitate towards the path of least resistance... in this case farming Anomalies even if it is boring and repetitive to do so.
Now that we have Craglorn, there's no reason not to increase the XP gains in the faction questing zones, veteran dungeons and PvP.
We have slightly reduced the rate at which you can get items from chests for completing Magical Anomalies in Craglorn
In English this means tripled the respawn time of Anomalies to 10 minutes.
And the award for the worst written patch notes in history goes to Zenimax! Tripling something is not "slightly" .. just say changed the respawn timer to 10 minutes if that is what you did.
