I started this game as both a PvE and PvP lover, enjoyed both equally. Until i finished my home faction's quests and reached vet content. PvE from this point onwards began to feel like a chore. After reaching vet 4 i found it a real struggle to motivate my self to even log on and play PvE. i just level too slowly and feel like i get no reward for my efforts. I have however been playing PvP pretty much daily, as long as i continue to enjoy either part(PvP or PvE) i'll keep on playing for now.

MMO or not, i like to play through solo in PvE, if every bit of new content we get is geared towards groups only, it could spell the end for me.

Right now, I'm concentrating on collecting soul gems with regular tours of the Coldharbor solo dungeons, and busting down all the green and white junk I get in drops from there to boost my crafting.

As to the OP's question, my VR12 Templar is parked. I use him for crafting, so I do research and get stuff from hirelings. I also take him out to help guildies who are leveling and for guild activities.

I'm leveling a both a dragon knight and sorcerer and find those much more fun than the templar. I'm not sure which one I will focus on yet.
So many templars have parked their main and started a DK, Sorc or Both.

I have found the Sorc so much more fun, I wish I followed the golden MMO rule.

I have 8 characters, 2 of each class and totally different builds within the classes. So if I get bored I play a different character. Really bored and I'll delete a character so I can start a new one

To much to choose from to list them all here, so Ill sum it up.
    - Playing the game

Lately I have been trying to be better at PVP, something I suck at. But the battles in Cyro gives me several tasks to do. And being in a team where we do tactical missions, like taking farm or something, when the main force is attacking the enemy base from another location....is great!

    Guild management
    Guild bank management
    Chatting to complete strangers

I just play and have fun. Other then guild things, my 2 tradeskills and the horse, I dont have a daily schedual. I play the game and do what I feel like that day.

I have been playing since early access and really do not have a daily task list. I am right around level 38 (maybe 39) and just kind of go slow with no routine. I spent about half an hour one night jumping on a bed because the home was used for a quest and had lots of people running in and out. Some you could tell were stopping to look and be sure there wasn't something there they should be doing. Had a couple of people join me and one play the drums for me for a while. I also like sitting by skeletons in dungeons just outside the door after the big kill. When people come out the door I jump up and see how many try to attack me.

Three nights ago I caught 100 butterflies. Then I went fishing. I like getting on top of a large rock and sitting in a chair and watch people run by. If I can see a treasure chest sometimes I sit there and watch it to see how many people just run by it. I do several screen captures of the sunsets, and have a good collection of captures of me sitting by different creatures and animals that I do just for the hell of it.

When I find a blue recipe or something else kind of rare that people want I let the zone know I have it then whoever replies first that they want it I usually just send it to them and tell them to send back whatever they want. So far only been disappointed once.
I eventually get around to doing quests, but it is rare I do a whole quest line in one sitting. I get distracted to easily. I started saving gold for a horse because the few times I have gone to PvP taught me I am going to need one.

I like to try and jump off cliffs and land in trees. One time after a successful jump I wasn't paying attention and several wolves climbed the tree and almost killed me. Had to sprint to save myself. Was okay though as when I quit sprinting I was standing by treasure chest.

I do try to get to the anchors when they drop because those are still fun.

When my pouches get full I head to town and deposit the gems and runes in the bank refine what I can (cotton, ore, that type of stuff) and sell everything else. Any armor or weapons I find I either sell or deconstruct. Sometimes I might offer up some equipment for sell, but it always goes to the first person that is interested no matter the price or if I have to wait more than about a minute and a half I just deconstruct it. I can't stand around selling things. I have rabbits to throw fireballs at.

Oh and something that is really fun. Get something big chasing you and just run. When you know you have gone far enough that it will turn around stop and whip a fireball or something at it. The thing I launch at them will follow them all the way back across the field and when they stop way across there almost out of view it will catch up to them and knock them to the ground. Don't know why, but it makes me laugh every time.

Oh and killing rats! Gotta like killing rats especially with lightning bolts.

So I don't have time for daily tasks, to much to do.

I'm Chinese, its in my stereotypical blood to farm endlessly and repetitively as possible; minus the cheating, exploitation, and selling for real currency part, that I don't do :P . With Harvest Map I believe I have every single node and treasure chest discovered in every zone I been to, can't be certain but its hard finding new ones. Unfortunately I'm too lazy to make a profit on my gains so I pack it all away on mules until I run out of space. I'm working on TWO crafters that do Smithing, Woodworking, and Clothing; not the exact same stuff on both. My main does Heavy Armor, Light Armor, and 3 wood crafts: Bow, Resto Staff, and Shield. My alt does Weapons, Medium Armor, and all Mage Staff items. Most of my items are already at the 7/8 and 8/8 research traits, and the crazy 26 days it takes to get stuff completed.

My main is currently VR8 and I have no rush to reach VR12 because I play a Templar so it won't matter I wont get into groups anyway.

I also rashly subbed for 6-months at the last minute feeling this is gonna be awesome... then Craglorn patch came out and I regret my decision. So I'm going to stick it out, play my 6-months then go back to WoW with Warlords of Draenor and play my Cat/Bear Druid again. If only I can be a werebear in this game.

Look at my xp bar, log out to check research on a couple of alts.

Log in Sorc who levels like William Wallace for a little while till my face gets tired.

I'll be honest with you. Even if I could be invulnerable and all powerful in pvp and top of the leaderboards, it wouldn't interest me for more than a week.

When it comes to competition in mmos, I already know I'm the best. Not because I am, but because I know I could be if I cared enough to be. Problem is, I don't have an ego to stroke anymore. Sure I have self esteem, but I was the best at so many things early in life that it's no longer a carrot in front of me to run for.

I'm not sure if any of the rest of you understand that, but look at it this way. I see you guys? Running around or typing on these boards. None of you threaten me or inspire me. I don't look down on you, but I'm not the type of person that usually plays these game. So to be the best or to be "known" in these games wouldn't do anything for me.

Hell, I didn't even like being popular in school. The attitudes of the popular kids disgusted me. I was the odd good looking jock that hung around and joked with the outcasts.

That said, I did like the pvp in SWTOR. I like the quick re-entry to battle. Forward camps be damned.

First he says PvP would not interest him for a week then he says he likes PvP in Swtor? either you like PvP or not..I realize you like the quick entry and arena matches but that's just cause your to lazy to find a battle..really sounds like you just don't like working as a team TBH.

Then you go on some discussion about how you are the best but you don't feel the need to prove it which is really more arrogant then the guys that brag about being the best at least they have game to back it up instead of useless jabber.

the whole jock and oucast thing back in your school days is quit humorous, the fact that you felt the need to mention that hints at some interesting insights into your delusions.

All together I found your little adventure into your life quite revealing, but I am guessing that what your really revealed was not what you were hoping.

On topic after that pretty off topic post and wonderful insight into your mind, PvP in this game has all the makings of epic battles galore.

As a matter of fact just today for about 2 hours straight The EP made some grand epic defenses of a few keeps that just had me going wow.

We are talking about 60-70 AD attacking one keep defended continuously for say 30-40 mins with both inner and outer breached..maybe even more AD it was so hard to count em all. At the same time DC was attacking another castle that lasted even longer and eventually attracted AD members as well. Again out wall breached but this time DC breached the inner keep in 2 different sections. It was just a beautiful sight to see.

My point is, that despite some of the more tedious aspects of Cyrodill like travel you will never get these types of epic and massive (not Eve Massive) battles/Struggles for territory. It is in those awesome moments that this game and its PvP bring hope for the future of this game..now if they would fix the bugs that would be great.

still only VR3 only just got to Rivenspire but im from EP so its my 1st VR alliance, and I keep playing as I love the immersion, and I still have so much to do, I want to take down every world boss/dungeon, rack up enough points/kills to become Emperor, still have Craglorn to do but I want to complete all VR maps before I head there, crafting on my crafter, still have traits to learn, feeding my menagerie of horses, the list is endless....

I just got VR1 a few days ago. When I learned about "starting over" in the other zones and doing quests for them against my own faction that option went out the window. So I plan to lvl alts in the other 2 factions to see their storylines, PvP on my main, and see what new releases they come up with. I must say though my time in ESO has reduced significantly.

Ground 1-50 + VR 1-12 all through quests. I read/listened to most them too btw...I will admit though, I didn't enjoy most of it since there is only a handful of quest designs and I found it boring in most part. It felt like a job, an under paid...awful...job. Not good.

    Son now I....

Login, feed horse, look at friend list (20+) and see all them have not logged in for weeks (most went to WS), get disgusted with how my character looks who still looks like a peasant 62 levels later even with different motifs, then end up farming wolves since that is the only thing I can think of to do, and log off out of boredom shortly after.

Now I don't even bother logging in no more since there is absolutely nothing interesting left to do. I mean I have been collecting crafted armor and weapon sets as a time sink but since I know they will regularly raise cap and make all previous items I collected worthless...what's the point? I tell ya, no point man...no point.

I could PvP but I'd just rather go hop into GW2 WvWvW and get the same if not more polished experience than here with added bonus of smaller scale sPvP as an option....for free.

Glad people are happy with ESO, truly, but for me this game is a major disappointment surpassing even SWTOR. The latter had more lvl cap content than here and that is rather depressing.

To me, ESO is not even close to be worthy of a monthly sub. 1000s of hours of VO is fine and dandy but they forgot to add a deep and fun game along with it.

    Meh.

One of these things is not like the others.
One of these things just doesn't belong.
One sentence in this whole post totally contradicts what the entire rest of the post is saying.

Can you guess which one it is?

    For me, it's visually stunning.
    I like the combat.
So far, it's fun to play, too. And by "play" I mean "a game that I don't care much about competing in, so usually what I do is wander around and kill stuff/do storyline/side quests".
I am not spending a single penny on the game until changes are made to the game that I want to see.
    1) Remove having to be in a guild to sell items to other players at a kiosk.
    2) Cosmetic modding for armor and clothing.
    3) Difficulty slider.
    4) Fully customizable player housing that isn't tied to anything in the game other than having the correct resources and enough gold to build. Don't tie it to PvP, guild membership, or anything at all. Oh, make it instanced so as not to take up world map space, too. Zeni screwed this one up already.
Any /one/ of these things implemented would get me spending again, maybe even subbing.

My highest is VR2, but that might be why I'm still enjoying myself. I am taking my sweet, sweet time. The past 3-4 MMOs that I attended during pre-release or launch, I rushed to the end and then quit because late game content was so underdeveloped.

On my main character I spend a lot of time working on my guild and talking with the friends I've made there. I do a lot of gathering and crafting, i even power leveled my provisioning and alchemy once my main crafting profs were maxed out. Spent a whole day going to new areas and farming the skyshards there for more skill points to dump into new professions. I really, really enjoy the crafting. I have a hard time getting motivated to quest, but that happens to me in every MMO I play. When it starts to take longer I start to lose patience with it, so I dawdle by crafting and gathering. That's what;s been keeping me busy.

And I gotta say, putting together and running my own social/casual guild has really kept me here. It gives me a reason to log in every day. It's not hard work, but I like to be present at least once a day.

Man looking at this to see what I would be in for and damn it looks so depressing, but seems realistic. We are paying for a game with still so many bugs and I am waiting for someone to help at a boss camp.

To top it off, their group zone Craglorn seems to be an epic failure as no one seems to like being forced into grouping for clearing a zone. I honestly think they should tone down this whole grouping mechanic and instead provide incentives to group with people, instead of hard wall requiring more players.
