Templars will be balanced once the nerf everything that works bandwagon has passed through. But once dk and sorc have been broken, they won't need to buff Templars, cause they will seem better. People seem to be more content trying to nerf classes because of a particular build (that works amazing on everyclass) than to get adequate attention to make all classes fun.

I think it's quite clear to Zos now:
1. The Light Armour, Destro/Resto build is OP.
2. Weapon Damage builds are underperforming.
3. Stamina as a resource is expensive on many skills given it is used for blocking, sprinting and skill activation and that costs should be reduced.
4. The problem with DK is the Passive AOE, AOE CC passive HP regen that allows them to use other skills and abilities. It's as if they are able to cast 2 or 3 abilites at the same time. This is what makes them OP, no other class has skills like this.
5. Its clear that the Templar has poor DPS and Poor Magicka regen.
6. Its clear that the NB has a poor selection of viable build, mostly due to the non viability of weapon (stamina based) skills.
7. They know some skills are bugged, they know these bugged skills allow trials to be done super fast - some have been fixed, some have not.
8. It's clear that Sorc has good dps and good Magicka regen.
9. They know that AOE CC is bad and it needs more nerfs.
10. They know they need to put in some AOE taunt for tanks.
11. They know Medium/Heavy armour is crap compared to light, they know this needs fixing to make it viable.
They know all this stuff. They aint stupid.

Then why did they know all this before the game launched? What were beta testers doing?

Dk aoe cc has been balanced. It is going to be nerfed further. 3 targets really is not much of an aoe. They now plan on taking survivability down a few pegs as well. That leaves virtually nothing for non dress/stick wielding dks. This will lead to nerfs for all the unique abilities for all the classes. They may "know" what the real issues are. But they are not addressing disparity between non mage builds and otherwise. I also don't see them setting up classes for the noobs that need to learn to play before crying nerf to everything.

Wanted to pop in here and offer some clarification. The Community Team does indeed participate in regular voice chats with some of our most active guilds. The guilds we're currently in regular talks with are a good mix of PvP, PvE, and casual. In addition to reading the forums and fansites, this helps us to better understand what the main issues are and their severity, where the best opportunities for improvement are, and identify what everyone wants more details on. More often than not, we hear the same things over and over (such as Templars, weapons skills/stamina builds, and heavy armor needing improvements and in some case fixes, changes needed to make PvP more rewarding, etc.)
These talks do not replace or hold more value to us than what we read here on our official forums, and are often done in the late evening on our own time. It adds another layer of valuable insight, and gives us the opportunity to ask about things in-person that we need clarification or more details on.
All that said, we are doing what we can, when we can, to get in here and answer your questions more often.
