Alts give devs the time to work on major class issues, as you don't feel as compelled to stick with your one guy that you spent weeks/months building
Side note, all that Anom gear is pretty well trash. And it may take 5+ purples just to DE and make enough mats to craft a good v12 set piece. Also, it does nothing towards getting the wax/temper etc you need.
Fine for filler gear or for DE, but not much else. Those green set pieces are complete and utter trash too.
"There needs to be some sort of ability to lv alts."
Why? *Blinks. Waits.
Because other mmo's provide that avenue?
Pretty sure that although THIS game was advertised to a target audience mainly interested in how it would be to work with your primary Main character all the way through game play at endcap, still Zeni did provide a myriad of paths for choices of variety along the way - just in case you aren't in the main target market/foundational vision for this mmo. So you CAN level alts, but spending time, energy and money on more alt-worthy features is not a "NEED."
I understand that is not just a choice in other mmo's but for some a regular style. That has no correlation with why it "NEEDS" to be done in TESO.
In addition, there is no 'NEED' for groups of mobs with high exp in known locations to be available for the grind-mass-mobs-for-exp crowd either.
Nope. Might sneak in here and there, but Zeni does not "NEED" to purposely create such zerg-fest-worthy escapes from the very interesting, creative questlines already available and that are being worked on currently for future content.
"I don't like alts and I don't like grinds so we should be forced to slog through incredibly boring quests multiple times if we want to play different classes."
If you like small group PvP (2-4 players) and solo PvP check out my videohttps://youtube.com/watch?v=jechGImtFio
SPOILER: The first 40 seconds of the video contains a scene from the final Molag Bal boss fight!

I didn't say you should be 'forced' to. I said that was your choice if its available. I also highlighted the fact that the original vision of this mmo didn't logically create a "NEED" to spend additional money, time and energy on making something(s) that are provisions for more viability of alts since that was not the main thrust, the general plan for people maining their primary character.
I'm certain the fabulous and interwoven Quest-centric playstyle of this game was promoted, advertised, and marketed very blatantly, therefore allowing for a fair basis of decision-making regarding whether spending ones money and time on this particular mmo was what you as an individual wanted to do. That would include accepting if not enjoying, the quest-heavy adventuring.

Trust ZOS to stop the only few ways of grinding exp.

To those that think I am V12 and I just don't want people to catch up to me...You're wrong. I am not V12.
If you truly think this should stay in the game and getting max level shouldn't be difficult then according to you they should just start us at max level with everything we want. Why force us to try for anything? Why even play the game? Just let us log on with everything complete so we can say we completed the game and then we can move on.
Please... listen to yourselves, it's just ridiculous.
Everyone's perceptions differ, everyone's reality it unique to them. Devs have an impossible job of trying to keep everyone happy. What makes a game successful is the community of that game, as it is right now SWTOR/Diablo III is a good likeness for ESO in its current state. While neither game is dead they are a shadow of the potential expected for them. Find something that makes the game a gem for you, or move over to the PTS and help shape the game into something more appealing for your gaming style. Creating incendiary posts only create more rifts in our fractured family.

Well, Diablo III figured out where their problems were, and got rid of the guy responsible for them. Now, with the RoS expansion it feels like the game it was supposed to be on it's initial launch. But you are right, it's launch failures hurt the game in the long run and not fixing the issues in a timely manner pushed a lot of people away permanently. I have friends that don't care how good Diablo III is now, they never plan on playing again.
Am I advocating firing someone or an entire development team at ZoS? I don't know, but if that is what it takes to get this train wreck back on track, then so be it. Whether fanboys or the like are willing to admit it or not, there are people that are canceling subs permanently because of some of the core design mechanics, more can only follow. That is bad for ZoS, bad PR travels fast in the social media age.

You can easily solo any quest in pre-Crag vet, even in non-optimal builds.
Her example was made up, or her friend sucks.... badly
Lol.... just look at the gear.... 20 more damage! Lol...20 more armour per peice! Omg game changing!
Remove the loot or add CD on the Chest, but FFS keep the xp/VP (Veteran Points).
Ok so you just got VR1 and are happy little player on a new world thinking "hey if I go visit places and open those master chests I get nice bonus VP" WRONG !!! You get nothing, *** happens sorry, you can go cry on that corner.
"Well ok least killing mobs should be nice to do in between quests" WRONG !!! Mobs eat you alive unless you optimize build which means you just can't "play as you want" and give totally *** VP.
"But hey if I finish the main quest I should get nice VP" WRONG !!! You get like 20% from finishing zone's main quest chain.
"But but how am I supposed to get VP ?" WRO!!..ok so you are forced to finish 90% of the zone's sidequests +POI's to get next VR...
Now imagine you already have done this and got 1 character to VR10 by doing those quests and you want to try another class... Well you are knee-deep in *** and sinking fast, because you know what ? YOU MUST DO IT ALL OVER /caps. I mean I love some of the NPC's but FFS once is enough.
Zenimax used so much time on good story (which it was when you did it 1st time) that they are feeling it goes wasted if there is ANY OTHER way to get VR's (oh wait Cyro, but unless its a good zerg v zerg xp isn't that awesome).
***"WRONG !!! Mobs eat you alive unless ... you grab a friend to duo with or spend some time ferreting out some others with the same interests and building a friends list or join a guild that has a priority of watching each others back while leveling in Vet content."***

The only reason I resubbed is because of Craglorn. I just want to play AvA and I'm done questing. I freaking hate the VR6-12 zones. I am happy I can just go there with guildies and pick up skyshards and be done with it. I will also level alts via Craglorn. If it gets nerfed, I'm not going to like that.
Also, why not just buff xp in the VR zones so people who want to do that can? Why take away options from people who don't want to go through that nonsense? And the mobs in VR zones need to be tuned for all classes, not just DKs and Sorcs.
Alphashado wrote: »If they want to put the loot on timers like public dungeon bosses, I'm ok with that. You shouldn't be able to farm endless epics. But they should leave the XP alone. This gives people an alternative to enjoy besides non stop questing. I enjoy questing, but I have also ground out a few ranks in grinding groups and I found it to be a refreshing change of pace. Leave the XP alone. Honestly why do you care.
Questing whole area, cutting through dozens of supercharged trash mobs to get one level ... Thanks but no thanks. Quest xp sucks. Quest rewards suck. Trash mob xp suck.
No need to nerf it... Buffing other stuff is the way to go ...

I'm not usually one to ask for nerfs, but this is kind of ridiculous.
People can grind 2 anomolies at once with a group of ~12 people and get ~1.5-2 MILLION experience per hour. People are going from V1 to V12 in 1-2 days.
