So damned funny to watch people sit here defending ZoE. Blaming other people's video cards... computers... internet connections.

Do you realize the ODDS of mass PC failures that would explain client side distress of this magnitude?

As IT support veteran I can say, with out any sarcasm, that 90% + of computer users have absolutely no idea how to properly maintain your computer.

Starting from what kind of applications to use and or download to properly balancing computer hardware ( i7/GTX770/300W Cheaptek PSU ), the list goes on.

In this case problem is more then likely in drivers.

Normally I would suggest uninstalling drivers in Safe mode ( download divers locally prior ).

Should that fail reinstalling windows is allways an option. Especially if you have not done it in a year or more. Cleaning your registry might help to an extent.

Of course the issue might be in hardware as well. For instance GPU or CPU overheating. Or PSU is unable to power the rig.

There is a variety of issues that might have arrised due to normal wear and tear of the computer.

My advice: try to find someone who is experienced with computers and ask for help / pay for help.

Option b) cry on forums stamping your foot and crying F* ZOS.

99/100 times problem is between keyboard and chair.

No way, it's the drivers... always the drivers. Especially with this game. I know my buddy had a problem when they patched in that nasty memory leak. I told him to update his video drivers. Presto!! Always the drivers.

I bet everyone having issues in Cyrodiil could benefit from updated drivers. I'll spread the word.

So I have a post in the tech support forums that has the same issue as this that @charley222 linked.
    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/107034/eso-crashing-every-5-mins-edit-i-think-i-found-the-fix#latest

I have tried all the fixes that people in this and many other posts (as well as the admins/CS ticket people) and none of them have worked.

the only thing that has helped me stay online for more than 5 mins is turning off the Subsampleing quality in the in game graphics settings.
it makes your game look like its 15 years old but it lets me stay online.

hope this information is helpful to someone :expressionless:

You crash with that on but don't with it off? Wierd. Not going to try and give any advice since you probably did it already. Keep trying after new graphics drivers come out. Maybe they will figure it out. Don't give up!

Nor am I. The only crash I had in this game was ONCE back during early access, I got a crash when I logged on. Just logged on again, and it's been fine since.

Haha PSU not strong enough causing a program to crash? LOL
You do know what happens when the PSU is unable to feed the components right? It wont end in only ESO crashing. :)

    And re-installing Windows, really?
Sorry but this is a really bad suggestion, if you have a faulty driver or setting in Windows you can just fix that instead of re-installing the whole thing.

And you're calling yourself an IT-support veteran, funny you didnt mention driver verifier, instead you want him to re-install Windows and then install that same faulty driver again...

There are some disturbing trends developing in this thread, and in this forum in general. The blaming the victims gambit simply has to stop. Look there isn't any way it can all be chalked up to bad hardware, and ineptitude. The latter of which shouldn't even enter into the conversation. This is a largely plug and play age. Most games auto adjust for optimal performance.

The virtual laundry list of troubleshooting ideas that are being generated by this forum. Is a testament to how poorly the game was optimized, and as for failing to contact customer support. Can we really blame them for choosing not to do so. Given the horror stories that have been recounted. I mean seriously why go through the hassle if it is probably going to be for naught.

This game has serious problems, and you can't blame the hardware, or act like its all the victims fault. This games code needs some serious work. That alone justifies going postal. How much are people genuinely supposed to tolerate. Look the game is generally fun I get that, but we can't act like the game doesn't have a very large number of serious issues. That are preventing it from working as intended.

Yesterday I found a bug in game that is straight out of an alpha build. I could at leisure mind you. Remove any enemy I chose not to fight from the game world. Does that come across as sound coding to you. It doesn't to me.

Life of a Nightblade (Screenshot Tumblr)

Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.
