Server comes back up fast. The gold I made was gone. Oh. No problem. I can go sell those items again. Nope. Items are gone too. So, I put in a ticket through this site's support system. In my experience, the in game support system is useless. I haven't received a reply from using that thing since the first week in game. I think they just gave up on that one.
I get the automated message. We will redirect this to the corrct department. "Escelated" If you don't reply within seven days, we'll assume the issue is resolved. I reply, restate my problem, and ask for compensation. This is what I got:
"Currently, there will be no restoring items, quest progress or character levels due to rollbacks. If this happened during scheduled maintenance, please be sure to log out of the game as soon as the system broadcast appears to ensure your character has enough time to back up to the server. This will help prevent any future loss and protect your character and inventory from unwanted resets. I apologizes for any inconvenience this causes you.
Thank you for your continued interest and support!"

If this is the case, we need more than a 15 minute warning that the server is going down. Tell us to log off so we won't lose our stuff.
TLDR; Read the title.

I may just be mistaken here, but I think they DO tell you to log off, with that system wide message. What more do you want them to put? "Log off now, because you may lose 1000 gold and the items you sold"? They pretty much do, if you pay attention to the system wide messages, which I don't think you do....
