this morning i shortly quested in kenarthis roost and saw botters with speedhacks.
but furthermore they don't only farm receoursces, they now also fight against upcoming monsters or npc enemies.
That in mind they will soon level up quickly and also bother us in the higher ranked zones.

they are so fast that you cant even report them. tired to make a screenshot, but that screenshot showed only an empty zone, as he was gone already.. to fast to capture

isnt there anyway to prevent them from beeing able to do so?

I have seen them attacking enemies more than I have seen them farm resources, so nothing new there.

I believe there is an addon somewhere, that allows you to fast-report people by just hovering over them with your crosshair and press a button. To be honest, I don't even bother anymore.

    thanks for feedback..

well... hope there will be some way to detect hackers or botters and ban them automatically

They do waves of automatic bans. So they are working the problem.

Yeah they do fight as they farm dungeons and other areas. Makes it very hard to complete some quests. I spent hours in a dungeon a few weeks ago because I had to at least tag the boss or kill him for the completion to register. It was full of bots so it took a while.

I doubt that fighting bots are effective past V2. The xp you need for each rank and the xp you get from grinding mobs are too far apart. It would take thousands of hours to rank up to V12 through bot grinding. They'd be caught by then.

Bots dont care about lvling unless its too make more gold, lvling just happens as a result of getting exp by killing mobs for loot to get their gold to sell.

Auto farm=Auto lvling so given enough time they will reach VR12. ( unless they get caught) Maybe they might have to do the main quest manually but they might have a program for that by now too lol.

I suppose they don't get exp from nodes...shrug

No they are not working the problem, they are just trying to bail.

the problem is, as long as there are games who buy gold from those sellers, there will always be guys who try to bots or hacks to get gold.
if noone would buy it it would be sensless... thats whats makes me sad the most

A few weeks ago I deleted a character in Glenumbra due to the bots. I started one a few days ago and I haven't seen but a few bots and they were in a public dungeon farming gold off the kills. There were four in the dungeon. Before it was over run literally with bots so they are doing things to combat them. Is the system perfect, no it isn't. I am just glad to see less bots instead of more bots like I was seeing. You can spot a bot without it even making the first move. Was in Shadowfen and there was a player with one of those names of eidjfkjeie level 3 standing outside the bank. I would bet my mudcrab pet it was a bot. :)

Yep, first saw it when I was fighting through an instanced area. To the bots, the NPCs were yellow ... until they attacked me (in a different instance - but of course including the bots).

The bots ran a short battlefield orbit, and once an NPC attacked me, they all zerged the NPCs with their lightning spear thingies.

Really didn't mind it all that much in that case, since they whacked the enemies in short order, facilitating my onward movement.

Old news, but the good news is that Botting is becoming less of an issue. I can honestly say that I have seen very few (if any) in Riften or Cold Harbour. Not the case 7-10 days ago.

That might not bode well for the concurrent state of the game. Remember, less observable botting can mean many things.

Yes, no point in reporting any of it any more because it is obvious that Zenimax supports bots, gold farmers, etc and wants them in the game.

All I do now is delete any in game mail related to this and carry on with MY game if I see bots, it is pathetic that an MMO developer would support this type of activity but it is what it is...

Yep. The farmers only do it because moronic players give them money. There should be a special kind of hell for those people after they've lived out their pathetic "lives".

Here is an add-on that was suggested to me by another forum user.

I got it, and it works wonderfully.

    http://www.esoui.com/downloads/info181-FastReport.html

If you haven't already, get the addon client used Minion: http://minion.mmoui.com/

Then you can search there for FastReport by thelegendaryof

Once you install that in Minion, go into TESO then go to settings. You'll need to set up the report key (I used F5 in the key bindings).

So when you hover over someone, it will save the last name you captured, even if they disappear quickly. Hitting the key you chose for the report will bring up two windows, as shown in the screenshot http://cdn.eso.mmoui.com/preview/pvw554.jpg

Highlight and CTRL + C the information on the left hand window into the report window on the right hand side, then fill in the rest of what you saw, making sure to click from the drop down menu.

    Hope this helps!
