Graphics Card Temp after new patch

I noticed A HUGE change on my GPU operating temp and how much work it was doing in full-screen mode and not limiting the frame-rate. (I have 2 R9 290x GPUs so my GPUs shouldn't have to work at all for this game). Where my temp would seldom go above 40degrees C in windowed mode, they would approach 80 Celsius in full-screen.

As soon as I went back to windowed, temp and work-time dropped back to normal and my frame-rate sticks at around 60 fps (I have V-sync on) except when a bunch of hacking-bots hit my screen.

So I've been crashing since the patch, I've tried to reinstall the game, repair, roll back and update GPU drivers (on Geforce 337.88 at the moment).
I've updated all others drivers on my PC, cleaned out my pc (man its was dirty) & freed up a lot of extra space on my C drive and nothing has worked.
Windowed mode has stopped my pc from totaly crashing & needing a hard reset but I still get a black screen after about 3 mins of loading the game.
My GPU useage slowly just climbs and climbs to 100% then black screen, like allmost all other people this has only stated after the new patch.

my temps (from msi afterburner)

Idle pc temp - temp 33C GPU usage 0%
ESO while doing nothing - temp 66C GPU usage 60-70%
ESO while in combat - temp 70-80C GPU usage 80-100%

PC specs:
Windows 7 64 bit (Service pack 1)
Intel i7-3770k @3.5 Ghz
Geforce GTX 680
16 GB ram
120gb SD drive (c drive)

Please help me!

Important to note this, now your video card is working the way it's supposed to work.

We don't have a good FPS meter. A good FPS meter is a graph and records info very quickly. A good FPS meter would also give you a total max/min/avg reading and create a log.

I mention this because games should have FPS limiters to control temps with (true) Full Screen. Games that leave this out usually have customers that end up with fried video cards. Just look at any game in the last 10 years, they practically all have this happen. I can't believe how many times this technical aspect gets over looked.

I haven't looked specifically, but I take it we can't limit the FPS via an in-game control setting?

I only see vsync and I have it on. I don't dare turn that off. Just went through the usersettings.txt and it only has vsync as well. No maxFramerate, prefFramerate that I have seen in some other games.

Regarding people crashing: have you tried going into your video card settings and manually set the fan speed? I know with an AMD card this can be done. In Performance. Card is a lot louder but there have been times in the past I had to run it at 45 - 50% speed.

As noted here, I have vsync on and so far I can leave my cards fans on automatic. Hopefully it stays this way or the leave blower may have to make a come back.
