This is not the memory issue. Unless regional settings of operating system can affect memory...I noticed that they have hotfixed the memory issue for PC and the version number is updated so maybe worth checking you have the latest one,
Version eso.live.1.1.2.995904
I didn't say it was related. I just said there is a new version and they may have added other fixes.alterfenixeb17_ESO wrote: »This is not the memory issue. Nvm I see you made second thread about same issue in Mac support forum. Anyway todays patch, as I said already, atleast for me fixed nothing. In fact it introduced more problems with other stuff.
As suggested try setting the system language to English and also Region then Keyboard language also to Enlgish (British etc.) as priority.I can't even get to the character screen. I hit PLAY and get this:

4 days that I have been unable to play due to fatal crash error 11. When is there going to be some kind of word on this??

Looks like 1.1.2 introduced some bug that makes the client crash with languages other than English , French or German as the three supported ones.
If this doesn't help post back.

Does not work. English, EU server, keyboard language English-US is standard for me. If I try switching regions to NA or language it wants to do an install.
The crash summary shows it was up for around three hours so about how it was generally in PVE.curlyqloub14_ESO wrote: »Below is my latest crash report from about 15 minutes ago - the "fix" is definitely not fixed.
And the other graphical problems (low quality textures) seem to be getting worse. If those were meant as some sort of workaround, it really didn't help at all. Sure, I can play longer, but I am logging out and restarting more now than when I was crashing before, b/c everything starts to look like crap. Think I would have preferred the crashing more often, and keep the higher textures. A big part of ESO is the gorgeous graphics and scenery, I'd rather at least get to enjoy the those while I am playing, even if it means more crashes.

/Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/liveeu/UserSettings.txt
If it isn't for some reason then you can create one as follows:
If the UserSettings.txt file is not present in the My Documents/The Elder Scrolls Online folder, here's what you'll need to do (apologies in advance for the immense amount of text):
Open a new text document in TextEdit
Paste the following information into the text document (plain text format)
Save the file as UserSettings.txt in the folder path as above (for EU installation)
Restart the Launcher.
If not then the solution appears to be to reinstall from this example thread in forums on the error 11 issue.
If by backup you mean TM then it should work as all data files are in single folder (the only files outside of it are user specific settings). If your Mac Language, Region and Keyboard are already set then you can try checking the UserSettings.txt file is created correctly at;As suggested try setting the system language to English and also Region then Keyboard language also to Enlgish (British etc.) as priority.I can't even get to the character screen. Hi Moonraker and thank you for the help.
My Usersettings.txt file is there in the folder, but I moved it out and copied your settings in just to give it a try. No luck, same fatal error.
I'm going to try to do a reinstall from a backup, pre1.1.2 patch and hope that works. It would take me a whole day at least to download the game from scratch.
Any reason why the backup restore wouldn't work?
Possibly if there is some corruption/ issue existing in that backup but certainly worth a try.I'm going to try to do a reinstall from a backup, pre1.1.2 patch and hope that works. It would take me a whole day at least to download the game from scratch.

I understand the difficulty for some to reinstall as it takes me around 30 hours on a 2MB DSL connection. For other people it is a lot quicker with better broadband. But it seems that it is what helped others from that link with that error 11 which I have not seen what it actually means.
