Thanks for posting details for the language fix. I had not noticed it as I have English as default.

I have created a new thread for this specific issue here. Can all those with the issue please post /bug report in game so the developers are aware. Details passed on.

And any other languages effected etc. Thanks.

I noticed that they have hotfixed the memory issue for PC and the version number is updated so maybe worth checking you have the latest one,

    Version eso.live.1.1.2.995904

This is not the memory issue. Unless regional settings of operating system can affect memory...

Nvm I see you made second thread about same issue in Mac support forum. Anyway todays patch, as I said already, atleast for me fixed nothing. In fact it introduced more problems with other stuff.

I didn't say it was related. I just said there is a new version and they may have added other fixes.

Have you tried changing language settings in your system? This seems to be a different problem but if you didn't try this workaround then you may want to check if that helps for the time being.

As suggested try setting the system language to English and also Region then Keyboard language also to Enlgish (British etc.) as priority.

Looks like 1.1.2 introduced some bug that makes the client crash with languages other than English , French or German as the three supported ones.

If this doesn't help post back.

    If your Mac Language, Region and Keyboard are already set then you can try checking the UserSettings.txt file is created correctly at;

Below is my latest crash report from about 15 minutes ago - the "fix" is definitely not fixed.

And the other graphical problems (low quality textures) seem to be getting worse. If those were meant as some sort of workaround, it really didn't help at all. Sure, I can play longer, but I am logging out and restarting more now than when I was crashing before, b/c everything starts to look like crap. Think I would have preferred the crashing more often, and keep the higher textures. A big part of ESO is the gorgeous graphics and scenery, I'd rather at least get to enjoy the those while I am playing, even if it means more crashes.

The crash summary shows it was up for around three hours so about how it was generally in PVE.

I agree with you on graphical degradation. There is a point that it impacts visually and takes away any gain, which doesn't appear to be that great, at least in PVE as it is currently implemented i.e. being too aggressive in tuning down texture quality.

The point is that this can be adjusted either way and I guess from responses so far and other feedback, the developers can respond to it.

It does seem from a few reports that it extends play in PvP but then the quality is really low and perhaps the same results can be achieved by players using lower settings instead, though from previous reports a lot did try this and it didn't make a big difference turning things right down. It extended TTC for me in previous testing but not greatly.

Hi Moonraker and thank you for the help.

My Usersettings.txt file is there in the folder, but I moved it out and copied your settings in just to give it a try. No luck, same fatal error.

I'm going to try to do a reinstall from a backup, pre1.1.2 patch and hope that works. It would take me a whole day at least to download the game from scratch.

Any reason why the backup restore wouldn't work?

If by backup you mean TM then it should work as all data files are in single folder (the only files outside of it are user specific settings).

Also ofc it won't help you as long as problem is not in patching process (something went wrong during that) but it is in patch itself.

Possibly if there is some corruption/ issue existing in that backup but certainly worth a try.

I understand the difficulty for some to reinstall as it takes me around 30 hours on a 2MB DSL connection. For other people it is a lot quicker with better broadband. But it seems that it is what helped others from that link with that error 11 which I have not seen what it actually means.

Just to report back for those still having the issue, a reinstall using a backup from pre-patch and then re-patching did work.
