Losing Functions, can't access menu

Since the last patch I am getting a weird error. Its not just me as a guildie is having the exact thing happen. After playing for a little while, the game disappears from my taskbar so only the launcher icon is left. After this happens I lose some functionality such as the Escape key not working. I can't access the game menu, and can't exit properly so I have to either end the task or alt-F4 to hard close the game. Has anyone else experienced this or possibly figured out what is going on? The game was running great until the last patch. Thanks in advance! Sorry if this is covered already somewhere but I couldn't find any discussions on it.

Stop using out of date addons.

I'm having the same issue. And its not addons becuase I disabled all of mine and I still get this.
The functions of the ui during play randomly just stops working. throwing away items locks them, using wayshrines dont work, trying to access the esc menu doesnt work, using guild banks/trying to switch guilds in teh guild bank doesnt work. Spending skill points doesnt work.

I have to use /reloadui constantly in rapid succession or relog to fix these issues.

This isnt the first time this has happened, a similar problem like this happened in beta right before release when the esc function just stopped working. It seems this bug has returned stronger now.

I sent a /bug ingame about this just the other day.

reagen_lionel - Thanks for the response. I didn't even think to add those other things that aren't working when it happens. I wasn't in game when I posted so was working from memory. You are having exactly the same thing then. I also tried disabling addons to see if it would fix it and it still did the same thing.

same. It works for a little while before throwing away an item locks everything, or the game stalls/freezes up and the escape key won't let me log out to character screen, tab stops working, can't minimize to menu, reload ui, or anything. The only choice is hitting the . key and closing the game by rightclicking with the mouse cursor. Ugh.

Hopefully they have a roll back. I thought it was an add on but I'm closing those out and it's just happened AGAIN for a 6th and 7th time. The game is, essentially, unplayable. Only works for a few minutes, before this scenario repeats all over again. And rebooting and logging back in is getting tiring.

Hope there's a fix. I'll wait a few days and check back, and hopefully they'll have it fixed by the weekend. *keeps fingers crossed*

I just found another big failing with the error. When I leveled up, and spent the skill point to learn a new skill, the game went into the bugged mode. So can't even spend skill points now...

Yeah, it's gotten unplayable. Everything is causing lock ups, and it was after that particular patch that did it. I wish there would be an acknowledgement of the problem, or a roll back.

Something definitely got borked.

Yes I have also noticed a lot of the issues you've mentioned. I've also noticed some strange things with my level up bar not moving when I complete a quest sometimes.

Everyone having this issue should be reporting this ingame via /bug
