I don't see the point in stores for small guilds. It would just be throwing gold away as presumably you would know everyone in a small guild.
But then I think guild stores are a daft idea anyway. Isn't the idea of a guild so you can help each other and not extort gold from your friends.
If they are so set on this idea it would be better to have Merchant Cartel's or something with increased members, a couple of thousand maybe, so as to not to confuse them with guilds. But whatever.1 -

Yes, smaller guilds should have guild bank/store accessDo away with the people requirement and replace it with guild experience. Make it so a portion of a member's XP adds to the guild experience. At guild level 10 you get a bank, at guild level 20 you get a store, and add other rewards all the way to guild level 50. This way if a group of 5 real life friends wants a small guild they can work towards it. If a mega guild wants 500 people they get the rewards faster.
I absolutely HATE the people requirement. Sometime me and my 5 closest mates just want to be in a small guild without have to find random people so we can just have a guild bank.4 -

I enjoy the game, but inventory management is teeth-splinteringly obnoxious, and the hordes of people relog spamming to stow their gear absolutely murders server performance during prime time.
I would use it for personal storage, without question. If the devs truly WANT it to be as frustrating as it is, well... my sub is already cancelled. I'll give it until my 6 month runs out to improve.0 -

If Z wants a gold sync, make the first 10 Guild Bank slots free when you get 10 players to join. Then make the guild buy slots at 10 per, just like bag/personal bank space, for increasing amounts of gold.
With 10 slots available for purchase for every 10 players added to the guild.
So each time you add 10 more players, you can buy a 10 slot increase in the Guild Bank.

We have a crafting guild and while only having 18 members, and our guild bank is close to filled with shared materials.

A guild would protect their trade secrets, and could vary in size, from small specialized guilds who only make one type of thing like saddles or helmets, to large guilds who could support the arms requirements of the whole town.
This means that yes, there were indeed small guilds of close-knit crafters, who could certainly find their numbers less than 10 people. How many experts do you need in a workshop?
That said - I think most MMO players are confusing 'Guild' with things like 'Alliance' or 'Lynch Mob', which don't really need to archive materials.1 -

Not sure what your point is - intimacy = friendship and cooperation perhaps? Every guild I've been part of over the years has functioned well and a good guild bank system was all that we needed.
With regard to your second point - players already have to create "mules" to store stuff especially if they are crafters. I have 3 mules full of crafting mats and as @danreckerpreub18_ESO rightly points out I also believe the constant login/out of players moving stuff from mules to their bank etc. is adding to the increasing lag being experienced. This is a time wasting and unnecessary burden not only on the server but for the players as well.
Allowing a small guild to be able to use a bank with 10 members is not, in my opinion, going to break the game and would likely encourage players to stay the course.
Guild stores - let the mega guilds have them because small guilds only need a bank to share resources with each other. I still prefer a regional AH because I wonder how many of these mega guilds will still be functioning efficiently in a years time. An AH can work even with a low population, but individual trading guilds need active players to continue to feed its store.

However, having a guild bank for smaller guilds would be a benefit and for all those who say that "Oh you just want more bank space". To which I ask, So what ? I fail to see any reasonable counter point to allowing smaller guilds to have a guild vault.
There are numerous benefits for family/friend/tight knit smaller guilds to have this feature. Plenty of legitimate reasons why they should be afforded the same utility as a larger guild. If the issue is the amount of space, make space scale with number of members.
But to impugn other players just because you don't like the idea of them being able to share items between one another is asinine. If people have an issue with a 2-9 members guild having the same bank space as a 10+ guild, I could see where the grievance lies and agree with it. But having guild bank scale with number of members alleviates this issue.1 -

It's not a "has no effect on my gameplay" thing, because it does affect everyone's gameplay. Guild stores are specifically designed to encourage large guilds and trading consortium. A guild store for a small guild serves no purpose whatsoever. If there are only 10 people in a guild, trading is easy. Guild stores are meant to be public trading houses in large guilds where not everyone knows each other.----

The fact that my small guild can't have a guild bank is really frustrating to us. I understand the concern regarding "free bank space" so I'd say the guild has to have at least two members. But other than that, this seems like an unnecessary restriction which I would be very excited to see lifted. Some ideas if there are concerns:
-Add a requirement where guilds under 10 people must exist for X amount of time before being eligible for a guild bank.
-Make the amount of space available for small guilds lower, and put a cost on expanding to the normal size of a 10+ person guild that is equivalent or slightly more than expanding personal bags or bank.
-Allow alts to count (each character in the guild counts towards the 10 person requirement rather than unique accounts) but include a minimum character level. For example, you must have 10 unique guild members or 10 characters of level 20 or higher.
I have no strong feelings, either way, regarding small guild stores. It seems like they would not be that helpful since a guild that intimate usually would just give things to each other, but if people want it I'm not sure why it would be a problem.

Under this you would give smaller guilds access to some guild storage whilst not giving a single or couple of players the chance to access 500 slots of free storage.
The numbers arnt perfect as i think it should be percent driven, but i agree with your premise. I think it would also need a merit or points system as people join guilds but dont participate at all and its just to fill a slot on the roster. I have a small guild and did not know that the guild bank was so big. Myabe guilds should have to buy their slots too.1 -

But at higher levels it should slowly change, let us access bigger and better bags and banking space in addition to buying them.

✭✭✭Yes, smaller guilds should have guild bank/store accessAt this moment we are at 77% yes in this poll, but I've seen a few people who answered "no" with the quantifier that it wouldn't be acceptable as things are currently, but a scaled solution to counter the "making a guild for bank slot issue" they feel it would be fine.
I think most of us in 2 - 9 person guilds, myself included, would be happy to jump through a few extra hoops, or get less space than larger guilds, in order to be able to use the feature at all.
So if you combine the yeses with the "no's but if you changed the system a bit then yes" this idea seems to have very strong support. Just sayin'.

Even if it was adjusted accordingly to how many people are in the guild in conjunction to bank slots available, or even purchasable. The store access I would feel to be rather moot for smaller guilds due to the fact that the store is more economy based, which makes sense for larger guilds. Right now, it just feels like the people who would much rather play in smaller guilds who would like to have some guild benefits are rather penalized and forced to join or create the larger guilds to reap any guild benefits.0
