Error 301 - why can't I login to the game? - Still no response from support

After launching ESO from the patcher, clicking play, entering my password, and clicking LOGIN, I get stuck at "requesting login..."
After 60 seconds, I get the message Login Error Login timeout. If I retry immediately it says "requesting login..." for 3 seconds, then I get this error:
Error 301 (3:1:1229:90098) Unable to connect to server. Please try again. Should the problem persist contact Customer Support: etc.
This has been going on for about 3 hours now. I was playing fine all day after patching successfully.
So far I have tried:
Manually checking for updates in the launcher
Repairing my install
Launching ESO from ESO.exe
Launching ESO.exe as administrator
Launching Bethesda.net_Launcher.exe as administrator
Rebooting my modem and router
Disabling anti virus and firewall entirely
My reference/ticket code is 140523-018047
I started patching on my laptop just to see if I could login. Of course at 96% it decided to redownload the entire patch again.

Rebeka7h✭Just started happening to me. Was playing the game and got logged out during loading screen, now receiving error 301. I have tried exiting the game, restarting the computer, repairing, and tried to log on with two different wifi networks. Also tried a few other things with the hosts file and such and nothing seems to work. This is very disappointing and frustrating. Please fix!0

MekairSoul ShrivenI am getting the message that I am using the wrong launcher and to run the patch again. I've already restarted my pc and currently I'm running the repair to see if that fixes the issue.0

Customer support says their working on the problem. Lets hope it gets fixed soon

MekairSoul ShrivenLet's hope! I was able to fix my log in issue luckily. Just by running the repair and then re downloading the patch.0

stryderzz✭✭✭that FAQ is useless my gf repaired her game about 5 different times and still nothing, customer service is incompetent and never does anything useful ever and we are currently stuck paying for a game we can't log into, we missed our guild events and we missed everything, this is beyond frustrating, stop linking that FAQ because its utterly useless.
please reset the servers or do something useful other then throwing legions of peons at us that know absolutely nothing and tell us to call our ISP to open our ports or repair our games or some other useless thing we have tried millions of times just to waste our time even more until its finally fixed...2 -
