It's very becoming....
First, what video card do you have, and what driver version?
Actually it could be the updated driver causing the issue. I have seen this in SWTOR one time with an ATI driver. Everyone had the new driver and it caused graphics issues, as soon as we all reverted back to the older driver, the issue fixed itself.

Yeah, I mean I guess, but before the patch I had no problem.

Go to directory

and change the following lines:
SET RequestedNumJobThreads "0"
SET RequestedNumWorkerThreads "0"
The default here was "-1".
This fixed for me the following:
- Login issues on certain characters
- Purple textures

Welcome to my world. I've had exactly that problem since day 1. Prior to the latest patch I found the following helped..
I have to do this stuff multiple times every day just to get some gameplay. I have messed with driver versions, virtual memory settings, Catalyst Control Centre settings etc etc etc. I am sick of it.
NOW AFTER THE PATCH I CAN'T EVEN PLAY THE GAME AT ALL. If it is kind enough to load I go straight into a screen full of that pinky blackness and the thing hangs or crashes.
I give up. Sadly, I really do give up. The patch notes hinted at some fixes which I hoped would improve my game experience. Now post patch I can't play at all. Bitterly disappointed. No useful help from game support. Game supposed to work with XP just doesn't. Can't upgrade to Windows 7 or even 8 just yet (shouldn't need to). Product doesn't do what it says on the packet. Subscription cancelled. Back to the many many games on my system that do work. Witcher I enhanced version here I come for another error free romp through
Good hunting.

When My physical memory got to high as a result of the memory leak around an hour of playing my graphics looked similar to what you are describing. Restarting the client which resets the memory usage fixes the problem till an hour or so later again. I assumed that this was due to the memory leak and the graphics cards inabillity to render as a result.
I could be off but the two seem to be affiliated.
And it is not the driver cause it happened then I updated my driver and it happened again.
I am curious if any NVIDIA cards are having this issue or is it only related to ATI cards.

Nvidia here, I had it until I changed the fullscreen mode then didnt have it again, however I didnt leave the city so much afterwards so this could be a false report.
Take it as you will.

That was what my next thought was..perhaps the higer demands of their new full scren is causing the temp to range higher and corrupting the card somehow. I hav enot tried it outside their new full screen but from what I am hearing its similar to what full screen was before and solved this issue for some.

I know that one is from december last year, but it's the version I'm using currently (because various sources have reported these to be faster for many cards and applications, then some of the newer ones) and I haven't seen any texturing issues occur with that version on my system.
