Veteran mobs - twice the HP and twice the damage

    Didn't they reduce the amount of repair costs? So to off set that, they just upped the damage so you die more.. Equals about the same in the end.. #Goldsink #Zeniwinsagain

    Constant difficult content is not enjoyable for me.
    Especially when you get no real prizes out of it, a few gold and experience for heroic WoW raid difficulty content.

    I noticed that ZOS closed a quitting thread since these VR zone threads started. With no comment on these threads.

    I will not pay a company that does massive stealth changes without discussion or even patch notes. That is why I am waiting to see if it is a bug.

    Yeah, I had this same issue in Malabal Tor.

    I gave Malabal Tor a good 4 hours, but at one point I was trying to take down to pyromancers in groups of 2. I was single shotted with 1500+ damage spells several times. That's seems just a tad bit over the top. Even with the supposed reduced armor decay costs, I''ll be broke in a week.

    I am all up for a challenge, but this just flat isn't fun.

    Increased difficulty doesn't make this game more fun. It actually makes it much less entertaining no matter what some sadomasochistic players might tell you. It isn't just the grueling nature of the battles, or the frustration that comes from having zero margin for error. Which mind you the battles have become, and to be honest were. Even before this new difficulty spike.

    These changes undermine the entire skills system. We are fast approaching a game where a mere handful of moves have any true merit, and attempting to use other skills, or gasp make an honest attempt to level, and develop them amounts to suicide. This super charging the difficulty in the game needs to just stop. The Veteran zones were bad enough, and this is just plain unbearable.

    If they want to notch the difficulty further upwards. Then they need to just do a complete balance pass of all the skills. They were quite obviously designed for the lower end content in the beginner zones, and not for the nonsense they are throwing at us now.

    This isn't just a case of sloppy implementation. It is a poor design methodology. Throwing extra health and damage on enemies is not only cheap, but it doesn't really fix anything. If anything it makes the deficiencies all the more glaring. The game had such a good concept.

    They designed a skill based game. Where we had tons of skill lines to develop. A wide assortment of weapons to choose from. Numerous ways to level up our characters, and gave us the options to play as we saw fit. What they are doing now is pretty much scrapping that entire concept.

    I am just tired of the exaggerated difficulty they keep piling on us. I play games to relax, and not to cuss at my monitor. I don't mind occasional epic battle, but that is all things are now. Every encounter is a mighty struggle. This game really is fast becoming turn based as opposed to action. I really expected more real freedom from this developer. I might as well play a Final Fantasy and save the fifteen bucks a month.

    Like the PTS People all raved about how swell the game was pre launch.
    Then Zenimax launched the game, OH Wow did they launch a Challenger

    Did you look at the characterscreen of some PTS streamers? It was like: 1 VR10 and 4-5 chars at lvl. 3-10.

    Most of them just played their VR10 to find out how they can get the most benefit after release.

    @hotfixing this mess:
    Hotfix for caltrops was announced for shortly after the cragfail patch. A hotfix....
    Dont expect this to be fixed within a week

    From what I've read, the Craglorn mobs are not as tough as other VR mobs.

    oh yeah, I just posted in another thread, this is crazy. I now find myself unable to do much of anything, and cant go out in my PvE Solo time, because it spells death. I love challenge, the fights were pretty cool before, now after trying several different things, I have died at the hands of the same group several times, and also to a completely different type mob set. Zero progression since the patch. Zero fun to.

    EDIT: oh, and the shield did need a nerf, but now its next to useless... So as a tank sword and board I basically am screwed for damage dealing.

    Only fools would buff VR mobs already full of complaints about being difficult, slow and monotonous. Good luck to the new subs reaching Craglorn. I predict it will be a ghost town at current rate of deaf eared lunacy. Already rather desolate in DC VR 6+ zones.

    I'm REALLY not digging the absurdly OP enemies. VR quests were already a grindfest, which was ok with me; but now I can hardly progress at all unless I quaff potions constantly and pray I don't run into lag. It's really, really boring and frustrating.

    How the f did this get past QA?!?!?! This was a patch targeted at end game and it managed to break end game. I mean, seriously. LOL.

    A very very long time if this is not addressed. At this point, it went from a real challenge and requiring some thought to fight, which has been spoken of on many an occasion, to just total cream fest. I was running with another guy for a little bit, but then set off to do some totally solo PvE, and zero progression, zero fun.
    As someone has mentioned in another thread, I could understand if they were out to make it ALL group content, although that would by default ruin it for me, because sometimes its nice to go out on your own, but that's not even realistic for simple open world PvE stuff, since there are not really that many of us in the zones all the time.
    At this point, I just don't see me coming back for a day or two, I mean why bother? All that's going to happen is I ll die a cold lonely death when faced with a trash group of 3 or more....

    Fs .. what do people do on the PTS? Do they feed anything useful back to the devs? Or do the devs not listen to them? Are there enough people on the PTS to adequately test stuff to breaking point before it effects everyone who plays the game? Why are all these issues hitting a live game that hasn't even got it's shiznit together pre-1.1.2? And a couple of weeks on the PTS .. that doesn't seem long enough to me. I want this game to do well .. but man, it's hard to remain positive with this BS going on.

    Talk about frustrating ...

    I can say, I have some friends, who are PTS, and were around for Beta, they told me of many a thing they had reported, yet lo' here are the issues...
    So I guess its up to us to figure that out...

    During beta (which ran since 2013) and PTS many bugs were reported which just made it into live anyway.

    PTS was testing Craglorn, not the VR zone. This has nothing to do with that.
