Veteran mobs - twice the HP and twice the damage

Why do Veteran mobs now have 100% more HP and do twice the damage as they did before this patch?

This huge change was most certainly not in the patch notes either...

    Yeah, I had this same issue in Malabal Tor. Mobs would destroy me within seconds wearing legendary heavy gear. Death recap was saying I was dying at around 1300 dmg, and I have 2300 hp... I was even hit for 1599 dmg in one shot. Was absolutely ridiculous. I reported it, and they are hopefully investigating it they stated.

    Typical.

    I have been trying to adjust (VR9) in Malabar Tor, to cope with the Mobs on my VR8 Sorcerer.
    I can handle 3 at times, 4 without Ultimate and I'm gone.
    Now they double the damage and HP.

    This game is really starting to bore me.

    I have been questing for 40 days, had to deal with all the nerfs / fixes that effect set ups due to PvP and I don't even play PvP.
    I had to deal with drop rate nerfs because of Bots and Motif farmers.
    Now they add this on top.

    Give me a break!

    They want to slow down leveling, they hit twice as hard, have x2 the hp and give less exp...... FUN......

    Also nerfed your good skills so you have to respec anyway......... Got to love patch day!

    One has to ask the question, Does Zenimax want subscribers? There are not enough hard core gamers to fund most MMORPGs yet this is a hard core or go home update.

    I play games to have fun, this new ridiculous level of difficulty is pushing me toward demanding a refund, this is not the game I paid for.

    I know what happened guys!

    You know Timmy? The guy who puts in the variables on the slider for, you know, the vet thing? Well I asked him to, you know, do the slider for the Vet XP to like, double what it like was and would you believe it? he's only gone and done it for all Vet area variables.

    So sorry about that. We'll fix it after we get round to trying to understand how we introduced all these other bugs into the game today.

    I recommend everyone use the /bug and /feedback options at least once a day to report this ridiculous and unnecessary change. This change is a shockingly stupid one.

    Wouldn't it be great if they at least fixed more bugs than they introduced per patch? This one is completely absurd and leeches all fun I was having from the game. I'm VR3 in epic gear with nearly every stat overcharged and I can't even get through one encounter without using a potion.

    I'll bet my school lunch that someone at ZOS forgot to limit the VR mob increase for Cyrodiil to just that zone and now all VR zones have the mob damage and health scaled up.

    INB4 they announce the doubled the wrong stuff on VR mobs. I've seen people complaining about no increase in XP given by the VR mobs.

    In name only. It was Mark Jacobs who was the genius behind DAOC. Proof is in the pudding....look how bad Zenimax continues to botch patch after patch. The only thing Matt seems to be good at is talking out both sides of his mouth.

    bump, we need the dev's to see this. Double the exp leave the hp/dmg; vet ranks are tough enough without people getting 1 shoted.

    I'm fine with Craglorn requiring a group, not normal vet leveling.

    It's more like 1.5x more hp, not double. And there is a definite increase in damage being dealt. That being said, it's a bad change. There's no reason to buff the VR mobs as their difficulty was fine before.

    LMAO I said these exact same words ohh two weeks ago, limited testing gets limited results.

    Like the PTS People all raved about how swell the game was pre launch.
    Then Zenimax launched the game, OH Wow did they launch a Challenger

    Can verify I was in the desert and mobs now have 2700 almost 2800 health. 3 mob pull that I typically handled well prior to patch now much harder...ran me off the first time, caused me to switch and heal myself to survive the second time where before patch my vamp drain was enough facing 3 mobs. Third time the zombies on the deck essentially took me from full health to less than 300 health (have 2230 health) "instantly".

    Only tested Craglorn. The boost to the VR mobs is something separate and independent of the content and patch version that was being tested. It wouldn't have made a difference.
