No hireling skill point reset?

Er... no, I didn't do that. (and well done for making an assumption that everyone exploits to the max, glad I don't share that outlook!) I had level 1 hireling for 3 crafts (one each for Woodworking, Blacksmithing, and Clothier) on 1 non-crafting character - on the basis that they had more skill points spare, because they were not crafting.

Now I'm not getting goods of a useful level, because the one character I took hireling on is not a crafter. I wasn't exploiting it, I just want those 3 skillpoints back on that character without having to spend 10k to respec. Sorry if you think that's unreasonable.

Wait, you're complaining because they changed the hireling system to be how it should have been set up originally, where you can't take advantage of it? I have alts that do the same thing, but I'm not going to complain about a change that ruins our exploitation of it.
But since we're complaining, I'll complain about the "24 hour" time system they set up. I put it in quotes because it's not every 24 hours, it's the next time you login you get a new mail if it's been 24 hours since you got your last mail. So different than the skill description. If that's what it's meant to be, change the skill description. I'd prefer a real every 24 hours you get mail, or set it up like your horse where it's every 20, or just change the skill description to reflect how it really works.

Its 12 with 3 points.

On two characters here. Real pain in the arse.

Its only you thinking the rest of people writing in these forums are stupid enough to swallow your *** about only picking the skill and not doing anything else besides being spammed with bags on your main-character mail.

In fact, the most probable reason for you to have the hirelings at lvl1/3 is you being too lazy to level the damn crafting skill and unlock the 2nd point.

At least you made it for a last good drama post. I hope it didnt hurt your feelings, I gave it a new pov.

This forum can be really very toxic. I do wish Zenimax would stamp on some of the behaviour I see from some posters here, because IMO once it becomes OK to be rude and judgemental to other posters, more people start doing it - and it makes for a very nasty atmosphere.
This is not a pleasant place to ask questions or get advice, let alone air an opinion.

I got corrected by @Ur-Quan, politely telling me he had to log on his alt to receive the hireling mail. I admitted I was possibly wrong two post later, here I'll quote it for you. I apologize for that.

Not sure what that's supposed to mean. There's no main-character mail, only account wide mailbox.

Lastly, what some of my alt being 1/3 and me being a lazy ass for not unlocking the second point have to do with anything? It's irrelevant but since you seem interested by it I will take the time to tell you why.

I did level the crafting of some of alt (2 of them are 2/3 in some) but in the end I found it was not worth the time to grind the raw materials and craft the item simply for receiving additional hireling mail.

You didnt need to get corrected. I doubt anyone would do what was required to loot the alt hirelings bags in their main without further knowledge.

I hope the bill for such high investment respeccing the level 7 alts with your mains cash does it worth for the good times of hirelings exploiting. Thats the most polite I could be.

Level 7 takes maybe an hour to get to. You want a skill point respec? Delete and start over.

Here's a question. Do the mats received under the new hireling system depend on the crafting skill of the alt or on the level of the alt? Because I got level 7 alts with rank 50 in Clothing, Woodworking, etc and, of course, 3/3 Hireling with them and it's going to really suck if I end up with jute and maple.

I can clearly win this discussion by stating that ZOS broke the *** out of this game, this "skill" included, with this patch (not to mention one of my chars has not received any hireling loots for 2 days now).

I understand what FCqt is stating here... hell, I even posted a thread in general asking for an account wide-all character one time respect of everything due to the TONS of stealth nerfs and changes.
