Will ESO on console have just as many bots/goldsellers/bugs as PC?

Looking at it, I feel like a majority will want to switch from PC to console just because of things not getting fixed fast enough. This is just an estimate, I of course don't know if allot will do it or not. I know in an earlier thread I did see some people mention about possibly switching to try it out.

Not trying to deter anybody from playing on the consoles at all!, but before you decide to transfer, (if you do), remember one thing. Before you do switch, please keep in mind that your basically switching back to April 4th, or march 31st or whatever day it is, to ESO restarting all over again. And it's not a different company handling the game either. They're going to run things the same way there, that they do here. Only difference is you will be playing with a controller. --At least that's how i feel about it.

What do you guys think, will it turn out to be just the exact same thing with the exact same problems, possibly less worse or more worse?

Probably not. That would mean gold sellers would also have to buy several gaming consoles, as well as televisions to hook them up to, and the games themselves. Right now, gold sellers can play using any old computer they have, so the initial investement is just the game and subscription.

Also, it would be SIGNIFICANTLY harder, if even possible, to hack/bot on a console as opposed to a computer.

I strongly doubt that RMT parasites are using valid subscriptions. Makes much more sense to use stolen CC numbers (yes, even those of their clientele, since they were stupid enough to provide them), at least for the gatherers' accounts, in order to maximize profits. So the 30 free days cut both ways.

It'll be interesting to watch, no doubt, how RMT develops on consoles. While the amount of automatization may not be as high as on personal computers, manual labor is still dirt cheap in a lot of countries.

Partially agree with you, but only one party will need to find a way to do it and all of them will know and get into it. And like you said it's harder, but it's a matter of time before root access is achieved on game consoles, which in turn will allow for custom software to be run on the consoles and they can do the same things they do on a PC. Is it worth it, probably not, maybe at least not for botting like they do in the PC version. But for gold-vending sure they will find a way to spam that in trade to also trigger players on console to buy their gold and items.

Probably wont have many bots and gold sellers , in the end , just like piracy , it is much easier to do this on PC than it is on a console.

But there will probably be many ,many bugs. They are fixing tons of stuff in the game right now , but porting something many times creates many new bugs.

They may just transfer characters over with all their banks and have a large surplus of mats and gold to sell to the console gamers. Unless there's a limit on character transfers?

probably not. Thats why they released the PC version first and pushed back the console version so they can rack up as much money to make a perfect console version. Its a bad idea though, nobody would really want to buy a game that has been repeatedly reviewed for having endless bots and bugs with little fixes.

Obviously I'm just speculating but this ia probably why they won't transfer bank items but I'm curious to see how they're going to stop vet 12s from stomping cyro..

Any one want to start a guild full of max transfer characters get a hold me ;)

I'm looking at consoles these days as basically just tiny computers. How could the bots not easily get in and cause mayhem, just as they would on a computer. It's the internet, i figured they'd easily find a way like they always do, and boom get to work.

While not as many bots, they will still have them and they will have just as many gold spammers and they will have just as many cheaters. It will most likely have more bugs and they will take longer to fix on the consoles because of the way sony and microsoft do their patches, so once they come out we can expect the amount of patches to decline.

Very cool, thanks for your inputs people! If anyone has anything else to say, please say it! I myself won't be on console, as I'm just not that into consoles, but then again I don't have time for a bunch of different gaming rigs. Someday >:), but I'm very interested to see how it all pans out for the consoles, for sure.

Last sales reports from china are there are 4 billion console preorders and 28 billion boxes of noodles set ready. :\ But serious not even a fraction cause of the reasons the previous posters stated.

Consoles are nothing like PCs really. Sure 'hardware' might be similar but the design is specifically for gaming. No matter how hard you make your PC out to be a gaming rig, it will never be equal to a console in functionality and security.

Remember, if you have Xbox One/360 then you will have to have a sub to Xbox live to connect and they monitor cheating/hacks religiously. Take TitanFall for example. Rampant hacks on the PC version and not a sniff of it on the console.

I am not even sure how Zenimax will do subs via the consoles and that might be where the real issue is with Sony and Microsoft who will want a cut of that.

Once the console release's the pc version will prob go F2P as there will only be bots left playing.

The gold and item sellers will be stocking up accounts to transfer (cheap transfers they said) to console so they have plenty to sell. You won't have the bots, but the sellers will be there just as bad.

And you will still have people paid a pittance to farm.

    To revive a dead thread,

Welcome to the future, console has the same bugs as pc did at launch because instead of tailoring code to Xbox one format, they've copy pasted the pc code, like the others have, and gimped its possibility, like the others did instead of taking full use of next gen capabilities.

Invisible npcs quests the works, OK w.e I still enjoy it just hope unlike the other pc mmo gone console, I hope they fix these bugs and not just looking for a cash cow to exploit.

No text kinda sucks, is kinda nice, really blows for guild Recruiting, sure you can put a post up on the forums only problem an hour later is 80 pages back and buried beneath the numbers.

A lot of people too shy for in game chat, wanna run a dungeon? Group finder is a bust, and voice only carries so far past your player zone sooo kinda mcscrooged there too.

Pvp? Yea you get a zerg of 30 ppl chatting, good luck giving warning to the enemy flank zerg that's about to crush you, or get anyone to notice they've circled around and are flanking, and assaulting respawn keep, aggravating.

I got my werewolf bite 30 feet from a group complaining about not getting bit so hard it canceled out my attempt to say just turn around before the pack despawned, which was hilarious really.

Console is everything pc was, just less convenient. Maybe without gold sellers but w.e gold doesn't hold much weight in console cause you can't advertise your shops effectively, and when quests give you 250-500 gold a pop, gold is easy to get.

I'm sure pc had a rough time, but grass isn't greener on the other side
