To all the People that think this game is bad

The game just doesnt have that ah-ha moment. There are especially in the first two zones 1-15 not nearly enough mobs. 7-15 hours to get 15 is a little overkill.

as far as game design, atm pretty much everyone is going to staff, doesnt matter what class you play. theres something wrong when you go to the newbie zones and 80 percent of all the new characters are using one weapon set.

Ya the quest and the story for the most part are well done, but so was ToR.

Just give me something to go THAT WAS AWESOME, atm I personally havent found that

Well, my two septims is as follows:

Firstly, I think all the people arguing that this game is too much/not enough MMO/Elder Scrolls have it wrong. I think it's far too much like DaoC, and not enough like Elder Scrolls.

Second, all the people saying "Oh, I don't understand all the negative reviews. I love it. Everyone loves it" seem to be willfully ignoring the fact that they can only be described as "all the negative reviews". As in not one. Not a couple. But a veritable pile.

Point the third: All the people saying that "They (ZOS) need to communicate more!" are just kidding themselves. That isn't going to happen. It didn't happen in beta, it isn't going to happen now. What you might get is a form letter along the lines of "We appreciate all the feedback by our players" yadda yadda.
Nothing with any real substance to it. I wish it was different, but it hasn't been in the past. Perhaps I'm still bitter about how they went and yanked the feedback forums when they didn't like the feedback they were getting during beta. Which leads me to...

Fourth: This game does actually have something in common with FFXIV. They by and large ignored their beta testers. They labored under the delusion they knew best in all things at all times and no one could tell them different. I expect a similar outcome as the original FFXIV. Except perhaps without the facelift. And in all honesty, I think they've well and truly earned it.

To all the people who care if others like or dislike a game they are playing. Stop worrying about it! All that matters is if you are having fun with it, why take it personally if others see it differently?

It gets extremely tiresome to have people spending a lot of time belittling you for daring to enjoy a game. It is doubly so when they string together a bunch of reasons that have nothing at all to do with the game that you're actually experiencing. And it's triply annoying when they aren't playing the game, never played it past beta, or never played it at all.

Why do some people feel compelled to correct and lecture anyone with a positive opinion of the game?

I agree. There have been quite a few 'neat' moments but nothing HUGE, mind-blowing or straight up awesome. Granted, my highest toon is only 33.

Got to Malabal Tor and had to literally save the first city which was pretty damned great, especially coming out to see other players running around the town I'd just 'liberated'. One instance where the phasing really worked to produce a world-changing feeling.
Brunhilda Icehammer - Nord Dragonknight, 'Smith & Enchantress 'What is 'ranged? I need to hit something!!'
Laehl Direthorn - Bosmer Nightblade, Purveyor of fine Clothes, Bows and Staves
Reeza gra-Zuni - Orc Templar 'War Shaman' and Apothecary
Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.

I think its cause they feel the game/devs are in a bad stop and like the product is a pat on back for a job well done when they feel the game/devs should be feeling the pain losing their jobs and game forever cause they couldn't get it right the 1st time around.

A LOT of people don't understand a few things. Some of the issues we are experiencing YES were around during beta...that's acceptable its a work in progress as all MMO's are and always will be UNFINISHED.

The thing is this game went live and all the test they could throw at this game simply hasn't yielded the same results as live. Look at PVP during live its laggy and damn near unplayable at times, heck even PVE gets that way for no apparent reason.

The PVP beta stress test went smoothly and live is BAD. Test and Live almost NEVER yield the same results and there is never any way around that.

This games current state is a 70% ready product but test showed a MUCH higher percentage that they went with, because YES money is VERY important. I have seen almost finished MMO's never release due to money.

So I say please just GIVE THEM TIME. MMO's are a work in progress and always will be and you have to remember test and live DOESNT always provide the same results. Seen that in numerous MMO's as well.

I've cancelled my sub. It's not that I hate this game, or think it's particularly bad, I just don't think it's anywhere near good enough to justify a monthly sub. It's average, it's mundane and it very much is 'just another mmo'. There are already a fair amount of F2P mmorpg's out there of a very similar quality level to ESO.

would you mind naming some ? i dont want to negate what you said or shout "PROOOOOOOOF !!!" or anything, its just that i would be interested in other games that are as good.

Or as bad? And objectivity is the problem. I could name a few mmo's and then you could spend time listing a load of reasons why you think ESO is sooooo much better and I could spend (a little) time thinking 'do I really want to bother responding to this?' (which I wouldn't) so the best answer is....no.

I've only ever heard of Aion :open_mouth: btw, Aion didn't come before WoW. Definitely not.

Im so happy ESO wasnt perfect when it was launched and very happy ESO didnt have it all from the very first day of launch. WHY? Because that means its ALOT to look forward to and stuff to be added in the weeks, months and years to come! :) So nice to think about! :)

It has a lot of potential though, which is better than nothing

First let me start off by saying; while your mmo history is impressive not everyone likes those same types of game … I played tera and aion and it supports my dislike of that genre of game. I have been in many betas and launches myself but I prefer game types such as AOC , DAOC, War, Lotro,Rift and yes I enjoyed wow and still do on occasion. I Love ESO everything about the game itself is great and I had a giggly girly fit first time I logged in…

If people play and decide they dislike this game for any reason that is their choice and opinion as is your own. They can say the game is s*** all they want maybe in their mind it is and not the game for them. Not everyone will have the willingness to stick around till zos gets it right….again it is the choice of the player …There is no right or wrong opinions in this topic and not everyone will agree. So preaching about it to those people who share another opinion will do nothing but awake the trolls that linger.

I love the game, as I said earlier...but I have till June because I unsubbed…Bots...bots and more bots… I do not wish to sit around and waste what few game hours I get to be frustrated…I guess I am fickle. I will possibly come back when it is handled.

That makes me a bad person? Nope that makes my opinion any less relevant or less than yours? Nope….So to call someone out because they do not share the same thought process as you

    …really …

and yeah I like wow it gave me enjoyable game hours and many laughs , as did a few other games…that does not make me a fangurl or a wow fanatic , it makes me a gamer . I applaud your titanium nerves to stick it out with zos to get the bugs fixed and bots handled ( bugs I can deal with it is the bots for me)..But do not belittle me because I choose a different path than you.

We didn't have the internet or mobile phones when I was in my youth.

So solving them is not adressing them? Your kind of logic is almost worth a new sig. However most of that, posted by Blackthorne was communicated ...

Btw. follow Matts interviews and Ama sessions ...

    Have a good one!

    I've really enjoyed the game.

I hit VR before bots became too prevalent, I haven't encountered a progress-blocking quest, I dislike alts so one main character playing all three factions appeals to me, and most importantly I rolled a Dragonknight. I wish everyone could have had a similar experience to mine.

But I've read the complaints in the customer service and other forums and it seems I got pretty lucky. It's unfortunate that other players have had such a disappointing time
