Love ESO but… but my favorite parts of Elder Scrolls: Vampirism and Conjuration, are both buried and forgotten.

There is a whole class named Necromancer.
    You can become a Vampire.
And Conjuration magic is found in skill trees like Sorcerer's Conjure Ward spell etc

You mentioned the one class and one world skill line that have been absolutely neglected for years, and that may never be updated with the current trajectory of revamps...

One thing is clear from reading the forums these days: The enthusiasm people had for seasons instead of chapters must’ve been a limited‑time event.

Well the employees that made the game what it was were basically deleted overnight by Microsoft, and now Bethesda is under pressure to perform or be deleted... And it does not seem like it was just to remove unnecessary management, as everything continues to be delayed and uncertain... Idk what else to say, just everything feels bad man... Sticking around at least until the end of the year, as I think we will have a good idea of whether things are going to get better...

But sadly, the change to the Seasons was decided and implemented last year, well before Microsoft deleted the employees. I knew this lack of stuff to do would be a problem when they announced Seasons but most of the forums were all celebrating it and any negative on it was frowned upon by fellow players.

I love ESO but I wish we had more water spells, skills, and sets.
Locking Grand Healing: Seawater skill style behind Lep Seclusa Challenger achievment.
Effort to get it is disproportionate to the quality of the skillstyle.

And I guess small annoyance of mine being endless guild spam advertisements in every zone chat, but that's more of a community problem than a problem with the game itself.

Thanks for the info, personally I don't use add-ons/mods in this or any other game.

I love ESO but it’s not fun anymore.

This year has been rough on my playtime and the FOMO has killed my desire to play for the time being.

There’s so much focus on engagement and store incentives that the core of the game is weakened. Even with stuff like the horse training redo or tome points expirations, they can’t just do what players actually want. It has to be what their engagement strategies want.

I don’t feel like they have or will make progress on the lacking rewards in the game. Every attempt thus far has resulted in more FOMO, more prompts, more RNG. It’s just not fun.

The content that actually does come out is pretty thin. Things like Writhing Wall, Night Market, and the Sheo quest all demonstrate this. Take the latter - the worthwhile rewards were in the GP, not the quest. Even during the height of the better Chapter years, the volume of content is so much smaller compared to other MMOs.

Last but not least, I have no more patience for the combat direction. Simple asks like having the devs sharing parses can’t be done. PVE being nerfed because of PVP. New playstyles being introduced only to be nerfed out of relevance a patch or two later. I don’t see this getting better with the current teams.

And the way the Warden topic was handled was the final straw. I simply can’t imagine treating a topic like that were this any other workplace.

I miss the days when there were things to explore and discover in the game. They’re done for me. Maybe that will change, but nothing right now says it will.

I liked the Tomeshell pet you get from completing the Sheogorath quest, it's cute (and I know it's probably just a reskin of an existing pet, but free is free)

The real endgame boss is the entitled portion of ESO community that screams "ZOS doesn't listen!!!!" because ZOS didn't implement their ridiculous ideas in the game or "ESO is dead!" because they play at 4am in the middle of the week and the DPS queue for dungeon is half an hour long.

I love ESO, but the latest Sheogorath quest made me Lactose intolerant.

Now I have to sit in a corner with Bastian and be mad about cheese.

    I love ESO but...

You returned the Thieves Guild and the dailies it provides, but you STILL haven't fixed the bugs
In the heist zones (many bear traps not highlighted in stealth, Some lamp carrying guards not
showing the blue circle that breaks stealth, etc) despite these being reported for years.

The bear trap one is particularly egregious to my NB who is a vampire - he's died twice stepping
on those because by the time they show up it's too late...

Love ESO but my computer currently doesn't (video card issue)

Not been able to enjoy harder trials and dungeons for a bit as my PC is lagged out so bad I show nothing to hit until the fights are almost over, and I feel like an anchor. Slightly better as a healer but only just a bit.

Overall, I don't mind the current direction of things, though my play time is also less than previous periods, so the new flowing content draught doesn't hit so hard. 2 Years ago I would probably have thought differently, but currently my time feels respected.

Been catching up on lots of achievements and such and tying them to tome and golden things at the same time.

I love ESO but…Seasons doesn’t have the magic that chapters do.

A large part of the change probably has a lot to do with the staff numbers being so drastically cut that there’s not enough writers left to deliver a new zone’s worth of stories and characters but just enough to scrape toget

Love ESO but enjoyed it so much more when my individual character exploration and major accomplishments were tracked in game. Between AwA and hybridization, my alts just aren't as fun to play.

I also can't resist adding my own two cents about the Seasons as well since there have been so many comments about it. I think the Seasons idea, in and of itself, still has potential, from the perspective of giving the team more freedom to explore and react to feedback, but I'd agree that so far it does not feel as magical as the Chapters did. I believe this is because we're seeing much less in the way of new stories, new lands to explore, and new dungeons, such that Seasons almost "feels" synonymous to the "Tomes" which means simply paying for cosmetics. Also, I have surprised myself with how much I've missed the structure, although for me it's more about knowing that I have a lot of content to look forward to, queued up. I enjoyed the new stories that have been released, but I went through them quickly. And my absolute new favorite content (dungeons) aren't even on the roadmap, whereas I always used to be able to know when more were being released, and would look forward to it. I've said this in another thread but will say it again - systems to encourage revisiting areas and replaying content are really good for the game, but do not scratch the same itch as wanting new lands to explore and new stories to follow. Both are needed for a successful MMO - especially this one.
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

And a lot of those items are worth a whole 100 coins on a guild trader. Lol.

Recently cleared out my guild bank with a bunch copy and then pasting DESTROY over and over again.
