Mayhem was awesome for trade bar use. All those chuffing outfit styles I've never had drop, no matter how many Imperial City raids we did.

As someone who comes and goes in this game and has been playing since beta - there is an insane amount of currencies in the game.. like.. a rediculous amount. Didn't they simplify them a bit too a few updates back?

I don't have the answer but theres just to many fomo, to many.. log in each day do this homework stuff to get the daily credit.. and by the time you do all of that it's time to go to sleep.

I feel like people aren't really playing the game.. it's just becoming a second job.. which is what lamost every MMO towards the end of their life becomes really good at doing.. more fomo on daily items.

Tradebars are great for new players, rather useless for long term players...
Would be cool if eso plus subscribers could exchange tradebars for seals :)

Trade Bars aren't a new currency. They're a renamed currency. Formerly known as Event Tickets. They spend the same as Event Tickets did.

And at the very vocal request of the playerbase, they removed the 12 Ticket cap and gave us more opportunities to spend them.

The problem for me is that there isn't anything offered that I care to purchase.

That's just how it goes sometimes. It's the same thing when a new Crate Season comes out but a person doesn't really care about anything so their Seals just keep accumulating. Same with Writ Vouchers and crafters not needing or wanting any of the Furnishing Plans Rolis gets, or really any inventory that rotates on a regular basis.

I'm...not sure what the problem is, though? I will admit it's baffling that the Bazaar has fewer options this Season than last for purchase, but at the same time since Bars are used for both Events and the Bazaar, I'm not too fussed about being able to save them up and have plenty for things I want when they eventually drop. Better to have too many than to not have enough, y'know?

And I say this as someone who has pretty much everything from the Bazaar aside from like...a Mount and mmmmmaybe the Sword-Singer House, tho I'm not sure if I really want that one. Since the few things I might want are from the evergreen section, though, I'm not really too awfully worried about grabbing them lol.

The different Currencies exist because if everything was brought with Gold, people would never have enough to buy things they want or need. There's already a lot that can be purchased for Gold, like Mount Training, Lux Vendor stuff, Golden Vendor stuff, Script Vendor stuff, Achievement Vendor stuff...imagine if we ALSO had to use Gold to buy TV Vendor stuff, Cyro Vendor stuff, IA Vendor stuff, Crafting Vendor stuff, Event Vendor stuff, Bazaar stuff, IC Vault stuff, Undaunted Vendor Stuff...eventually it gets to be far too much for only one Currency to realistically cover.

Why does it get to far? Who says it has to get that far and be that complex? I could see like.. 2 currencies needed max. If you don't want to destory the economy for things on the market use the other currencies. Theres just a brutal amount of currencies just "because math hard".

There are a lot of items that could hypothetically appear in the Bazar that I would care a great deal about. Plenty of crownstore items I felt were well-made but poorly priced. A lot of the houses, crown exclusive styles, skill styles, and recently also individual items from bygone Premium Tome tracks.

So the way I see it, not having anything to spend them on right now is a good thing, because it lets me save up for the day that many of the items I want come to the Bazar together.
So long as they actually do show up in there one day.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

In a letter from the game director, it says, “Frost Atronach crate rewards will be available in the Gold Coast Bazaar,” which sounds great. Well, we'll see.

I wonder how many actually have every single item? I don't have them all personally and I find the bar acquisition actually pretty slow.

Well, I can't use Xp anymore, got to 3600, so using trade bars for that doesn't work for me, and their bound if you buy them, so I can't even sell them.

I understand that this is a "me" problem, but my issue is the change such that bars are worth less than tickets. I see the number of trade bars I have, and the cost of items, and I kind of glaze over. It's like looking at a jar of coins that I've saved and having no instinctive idea what I can purchase with it or how long it will last. Whereas I had a really good feel for what 5 tickets or 10 tickets were "worth" and how long they would stretch.

For this reason I constantly forget they exist, and when I remember I'm hesitant to buy anything because I have no anchor for if it is expensive or not and therefore whether it is worth it to me or not. Eventually I'll probably accumulate enough that I'll purchase without concern, but for now something about those higher numbers and higher costs, visually, just broke my brain. :D
My #1 wish for ESO Today: Decouple achievements from character progress and tracking.

I was able to finally get some items I missed in the past. Been playing since beta but for a couple years in the beginning I was on Xbox. Since I came back to PC about 7 yrs ago it was nice to finally get what missed again.

I agree. Most games have 2 at best.

Most of these extra currencies is just for 'forced engagement' of specific systems they made

    Infinite archive...fortunes
    Dungeons...keys
    Crafting...writs
    Season pass...tome points
Buying older stuff and events...trade bars
    Buying crate items...seals...or gems
    Buying cosmetics...crowns
Buying ESO+ ...real money only, which gives you a tome cache and sometimes a premium tome token
    PvP Cyrodill...alliance points
PvP Imperial City...tel var points and imperial fragments
Change your outfit with gold or an outfit token
    ....

I probably missed some, but it's completely ridiculous by now. But they do it to force engagement of every game system because other otherwise people will drop specific content they don't like that much and groups/matchmaking for those systems will die.

Yea the longer you've been around the less there is to choose from for sure. From the permanent selection I almost have the last of the skill styles which while I doubt I will use you never know so when I have the currencies, I buy what I can.

Once that's done, I can stock up and then maybe skip most of an event I don't care about and just buy all the things and stuff with excess trade bars.

Maybe in a future update they will add some more reusable items for the permanent selection that will help with making or leveling new characters.

Should be in the crown store tab when you search the individual tier items shows the gem price.
