They are just following the trend that happened when DK rework was released. In these same patch so much power was put into one class they took power out of the others. It's really a strange "balancing" act.
If PvE DK sucks so much, maybe ZOS shouldn't have nerfed DoTs into uselessness because of PvPers that couldn't slot purge.
On that note, bring back DoTs! PvP needs them back. And I don't just mean status effects.

When you are in AvA Cyrodiil, or even BGs, you can have anywhere from 2-12 DoTs applied to you in 1 GCD, in addition to other status effects like Ele Sus, which is free (on live) and applies a rotation status effect.
To purge all 10-20 effects you would A. Have to be a Templar and spam cleanse at least 3-5 times, which is 13-21k Mag IF....IF those effects are not reapplied in the 3-5 GCD you spent all your mag on removing these effects...
DK is 100% overtuned in some areas, but overall at the balance of power players want to see across all classes.

Making an argument by pointing out one skill that classes have access to and not addressing the myriad of issues with DK being overpowered is a joke.

Necromancer also has a purge. But nobody knows this because it's a dead class in pvp. 💀

I see Necromancers every time I play PvP. They're always super tanks. I have killed 2 whole Necromancers 1v1 this entire patch so far.

The only viable way to play Necro is to just be a meme tank. I spent a good amount of transmutes, gold, and time trying to make CB cro work and every button I clicked just made me think to myself "that could've been a DK whip doing 50% more damage".
