Arms Packs for Solo Dungeon monster sets (Mylenne Moon-Caller & Tarcyr)

What do you all think the Arms Packs for the Solo Dungeon monster sets will look like?

Mylenne Moon-Caller is a white werewolf, so the monster helmet and shoulder might look like a werewolf's head and pelt, while the weapons/shield might have a clawed-up appearance with white fur.

Tarcyr is an indrik, so the helmet and shoulder might look like an indrik's head and feathers. We can definitely expect the weapons/shield to have that blue glow that Tarcyr has, with a strong indrik feather motif.


I am also very curious what these monster sets would actually do, but I suppose we'll have to wait and see!

    Despite people saying for ages that they're still not out, we've never even gotten hints of those releasing. And now, not only do we have those Undaunted styles, we also have 6 IC Monster sets as well that could potentially also have arms packs (and those mask/shoulder pages never became available either).

    This is actually one of the big problems people have with ESO is that they'll start something and then halfway through they go "ooh look, a squirrel!" and don't end up ever finishing the first thing before they go to start something completely different. After all, how long ago was it when they started hybridization and they're just now getting to the point of hybridizing alchemy?

    I agree that we should get Arms Packs for all of the remaining dungeons. I just bring up Solo Dungeons because it's new/upcoming content.

    Provided we get a Solo Dungeon for every regular dungeon, we will have two monster sets per dungeon rather than just one.

    How would it feel if a dungeon got an Arms Pack of its Solo Dungeon monster set before its Group Dungeon monster set?

    technically theres even more monster sets now with the 3 from the night market too lol

    i think the issue isnt necessarily that they half finish stuff, its that before they start something they dont realize just how much total content that actually entails, and so they "take a break" from it to work on new stuff, which just creates a vicious cycle of 70% content that only gets mostly finished years later

    another case where this is true is hybridization

    and then they have other systems they have to go back and update to add new content to as well (ToT, IA, companions, etc)

    I'm a bit confused. Why would a solo mode have different rewards than the group mode? I would expect the same rewards as you would get when doing the dungeon in normal difficulty in group mode. The solo mode is going to be easier than the group mode, so it would sound strange to me if the rewards would be something you can't get even in group Hard Mode.

    Has ZOS said there will be some unique rewards for the solo mode?

    Solo Dungeons are not just "easy mode". You can select up to three debuffs to apply to your run to make the dungeon harder, which grants better rewards. Of course, you can play Solo Dungeons without these challenges to experience the story, but you won't get the extra rewards.

    Yeah, this is exactly what I need.

    My secondary is a werewolf bear, so apart from needing a were form that is actually appropriate, he also needs a nice look. I've needed the Devy pack to release since that dungeon dropped.

    I'm also super excited to see the Stone Husk set, since the effects on the arms packs usually match the boss' attacks, and the major attack from the stone husks is that laser beam. I just think it'd be awesome if the Stone Husk 1H essentially ends up being a lightsaber.

    Oh, I have not followed the updates on this. Good to know that there are going to be more challenging modes for this. Unfortunately the screenshot is a bit difficult to see. Is it from a stream?

    But yeah, so, choosing all three Misfortunes will give rewards equivalent of doing it on veteran mode with a group. That's actually pretty cool.

    But the rewards are still the same as you would get in group mode, right? Did they mention anything about unique rewards specifically for the solo mode? That would be strange. Because if they haven't, I don't think OP's request is going to happen in solo mode.

    This was from the last Dev Chat stream.

    They specifically said Mylenne and Tarcyr were new monster helm sets dropping in the solo version (implying that Balorgh and Vykosa sets would not be available solo), but did not really mention any other rewards like the standard set drops.

    Notably however, this is an U52 thing. This is still in early development. That does mean there is no news yet on how this will be affected by last week’s news.

    The dev chat streams were really interesting since we got to see stuff in development and the devs were really excited about what they were doing. But since 1) pretty well every team lead on those streams except Jason got caught in the layoffs, and 2) the one team that remains mostly intact tries to avoid communication like the plague, I don’t even know if these will happen in the future.
    I hope they do. And I hope they can finally force Wheeler to talk about things so we’re not so much in the dark about the Refreshes.

    Ah, so we'll need to do the solo modes three times. Thanks for the info. New monster sets is a welcome idea if they are actually usable. Would be nice to have a full monster set meta instead of mythic+1pc monster+arena bb meta for a change.

    But that gives me some concerns.

    New monster sets in solo mode might mean no new dungeons coming for a long time. They just keep adding those solo modes instead of new dungeons, with some new monster sets.

    Hopefully they won't remove the ability to do the group mode solo.

    Since the Misfortunes are personal debuffs instead of re-balancing the dungeon itself, I'm afraid this will be the same boring difficulty level as the challenge mode for overland. Where the harder difficulty just makes everything damage sponges and you take more damage. I didn't see from the screenshot what those misfortunes are, but probably take more damage, do less damage and maybe have worse sustain.

    New Classes and Dungeons are not off the table. There are a lot of other things players have been patiently waiting for, such as new Tales of Tribute decks and new Companions, and it'll only be a matter of time until new ones are made.

    I like that Solo Dungeons give us more things to do with existing content. We can expect new dungeons that are made to have two monster sets, so that ultimately means more content per dungeon going forward. And because they're monster sets, we can also expect Arms Packs at some point in the future — which is the focus of this thread.
