PC EU Server issues?

Just as with the drop chances for the new furnishing plans Zos has reduced the chances of actually logging in to the game to an absolute minimum.

It doesn't matter that it's the 4th of July weekend. Someone should have pulled the short straw (or been on the rotation) for on-call. That's just standard operating procedure. Apparently for everyone but Zos.

And yes, I have done holiday on-calls in my field. It's not fun but it's what you sign up for.

AFAIK, there are also some development and publishing offices spread across Europe and Asia, not to mention usually that's a normal practice for big companies to have an overtime paid backup team working on the holidays

The AI says that the technicians are certainly already working on it. It says that there is no external communication because the communications staff are off-duty.

Also worth considering is that ZOS is over there where all the really big 250th stuff is happening, so it's very probably part long weekend and part localized activities. Out here in my neck of the woods, yesterday's stuff was about there was and today is mostly hangovers and left over fireworks.

4th of july weekend? Since when is that a thing? It's the 4th of july or it's not. On my calendar, it has come and gone. That's the same kind of nonsense as "birthday week", it's either your birthday or it's not, there is no week.

Ye, I've seen quite a lot in the 7 years I've been around ^^ Too much to confidently say this is the worst incidence. For what it's worth, its in the middle of the night before a work monday in Europe, Africa and Asia, so timing could have been much
worse. Not to say there actually is a "good" timing for something like this ofc, but majority of PC-EU players will sleep this away. With hopefully having everything back to normal as soon as staff wakes up!

It appears the issue is with the login servers, which are even for EU, located in the States.

I have friends still in game so the EU servers are functioning, the portal to login to them however appears not to be!

Most of the staff that keeps getting tagged for responses is from the US.
The EU server itself also isn't what went down as apparently no one already in was kicked out. The authentication server went down, no idea where it is. Would have guessed US but since it seems to be seperate from NA login server (which still works) it might be with the EU game server.

The point is, Zenimax is a global company. It’s completely unacceptable that the European server is left abandoned just because it's a holiday weekend in the US. We are paying customers, and our gaming time shouldn't depend on Maryland's clock or vacations.

The reset is in less than 2 and a half hours. Many of us are about to lose our daily writs, gold, and progress on their characters because the login gateway is frozen while the server is blindly marked as 'Online'. This lack of maintenance and reaction is deeply frustrating for every european player

Just did a test: running the game as admin via eso64.exe, I get Error 201 with my correct credentials, but I get the EXACT SAME Error 201 even if I type a completely random fake username and password. This proves the login gateway is totally frozen and isn't even communicating with the account database. It's 100% on ZOS

So I just did a bit of investigation....

Several mods are marked as not being active for several days HOWEVER one was active on July 5th but don't know exact time, another was active at 1.00am BST today.

So someone HAS seen there's issues, at this point I am beyond shocked!!

I think daily tomes stack. If you long in one day and don't collect the next day you can collect twice.

I am happy to find this topic, since support suggested the error is likely in my ISP even after clarifying that its only EU server.

What ever happened to support, I remember about ten years ago bragging to everyone how great the support is. Since last couple of years the support does not seem put any effort into trying to resolve issues at least from my experience.

This is a dangerous road as lack of support was the reason I quit official WoW since my character got bugged and only receiving automated responses without solution.
