    They said something along the lines that devoting resources to Night Market was a reason why there are no dungeon DLCs this year. They didn't use the word "replacement" per se; that's just a (reasonable) player interpretation of what they said.

    Overland is the FLAVOR of the game. As you move through different areas you run into different types of mobs with some different and sometimes unique attack and defense.

    But it still just exists as Flavor, as you go from point A to point B doing missions/questing etc. That's why you still see plenty of players just flying past you, ignoring the mobs.

    So we were given the option to increase the difficulty because a loud minority of players wanted it. It's possible they assumed - more difficulty = better mob drops and more gold. Well..... I guess it depends on a persons definition of " better "

    ...Overland is a majority of the game, what do you mean? It is literally where most of the game's content and story comes from. Dungeons and PvP are peanuts compared to the content you get in Overland. Are you trying to imply there's next to no content just because people ignore Overland mobs?

    The game's base main quest is Overland.
    All DLC Zones' main quests are Overland.
    Mages Guild and Fighters Guild quests are Overland.
    World Bosses are Overland.
    World Events like Dragons or Dolmens are Overland.
    Likely roughly 90% probably of quests are Overland.
    Scrying/Excavating is Overland.
    Public Dungeons are Overland.
    Delves are Overland.
    Psijic Order's quest is Overland.
    Farming mats is almost only done in Overland.
    A majority of Leads are in Overland.

    So what do you mean that the focus isn't Overland? A huge majority of it is Overland, far more than Dungeons, Trials, and PvP. Also I think it's just a bit silly to say a vocal minority wanted it considering the years' old thread with hundreds of pages about Overland Difficulty, not to mention all the separate threads about it over the years. And that's only the discussion on it here, there's been talk about it other places like Reddit and Steam too.

    It's bad enough the new golden pursuit forces you to change overland difficulty I thought this was always just to be an option now we are being forced into it. NOT COOL

    No one's forcing you to complete the golden pursuit, and it has no unique rewards even.

    Put it on Vestige. Go to Alik'r. Join the Dolmen farmers. Spam AoE damage skills. Hold block and stand in enemy AoE. Use a potion every 45s. Cast ulti 5 times. Do 3 dolmens. 15 minutes. GP completed.
