It's unlikely that most people grinded out the full event when the biggest reward was front loaded to just the introduction quest. Idk how much favor that quest gave.

Also I better understand why PC players seem to like the challenge slider less. If we assume that the general ranking is accurate (although devs have gone on record that console players are a bit more casual so probably didn't play it at the same percentage of players), then it seems likely that the zones are far more populated on PCEU than console. So as a console player, the whole adventurer coming along and ruining my mob thing is no big deal. I do run into people every zone I go but we are not constantly tripping over each other. So this comes up a low enough percentage of playtime that it's really not an issue or detraction.
I hope they take this into consideration when implementing crossplay (if at all possible).
