Does my gear get damaged in battlegrounds? I am asking this especially for death matches.

Thank you!

    No it doesn’t.

Edit: The charge on the weapon’s enchantment does still get used so you might see a red weapon icon. This just means you need to charge it with a soul gem.

Gear take damage two ways, one is by death who has an good chance to damage gear, however not death in PvP: BG cyrodil or duels. Gear still take damage if you die outside of PvP in cyrodil, fall damage from keep walls is one.

Second is then you get xp killing stuff. Just killing not xp from quests or objectives.
Not sure if this also apply to xp from killing players but would expect so, this is not a lot of xp however but the wear is very obvious if you do public dungeons.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

During the BG? Nah, they are counted as PvP deaths so you won't lose any durability, neither you will gain xp during it.
After the BG ends? Most likely because of you gain xp and that reduces durability in general.

The main reason your armor degrades is Exp Earned. I like wrecking my armor in this way.

Deaths should also degrade, suicides seem to be the smallest amount, like 46 gold. PVE combat deaths a little more, not sure but easy to test.

I am surprised PvP deaths do not, it seems like when I am over there, it degrades quite fast, and I am not the one racking up kills. Battlegrounds might be different I have still not done any

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

Normally, no. There might be some edge case where you die from falling damage, instead of another player. That can cause gear decay in Cyrodiil, but I'm not sure if it applies in BGs.

Many posts mention durability loss from death and killing-related XP, or "Durability Earning EXP" according to ESO-HUB. I heard XP is no longer earned after CP 3600. Then does that mean armor does not degrade after CP 3600 (assuming no deaths)?

    That is completely false.

You stop earning CP progress after 3600, but you still earn XP. The simple reason is that XP is used for things that aren't related to CP, like leveling skills and skill lines. So, yes, you still get gear degradation.

Excellent. Since XP gain seems to be exponential, is durability is somehow proportional to XP? Or does a CP 3600 player incur exponentially more durabikity loss than a CP 200 player?

The XP required to get to the next CP increases as your CP increases, but that’s not the same as XP gain. Base XP gain should stop increasing at max character level (50).

But when that XP gain is boosted with bonuses, like scrolls/pots or events or training or Mora’s Whispers, anecdotally I seem to notice my armor degrading faster accordingly. That would make sense. It would also have a natural limit, since there are limited sources of XP boosts.
