what we need is a way to filter out the motifs we have when at guild traders.

On PC it's already possible to filter motifs by knowledge when at GTs - via an addon as pointed out by another poster above.
My character on the screenshot below knows the Hollowjack book, so it's ticked.

And on just generally tracking motifs, there's both Character knowledge and Trait buddy. I use TB to track alt trait research, but it does show which alts know which motif books and chapters.

It's already in-game, just presented differently (as others have noted above), and some QoL updates are coming in update 50 to help you locate the ones you're missing.

For PC players, there's a bunch of addons that present the information in alternative formats if you prefer those visualisations.

I'd rather ZOS spent their time/effort/resource fixing other things.

AwesomeGuild Store isn't compatible with gamepad mode. I am on pc so i can still use it but a gamepad mode would be awesomer! I won't hold my breath waiting for that b/c i'm sure it's a huge undertaking.

Wow. All this time and it didn't occur to me to explore the drop down menu on the right. Will make use of the traits overview going forward, also thanks for all your amazing addons.

I use 702's Craft Completionist (which utilizes LibCharacterKnowledge) add-on for consoles. Tracks all motifs, furnishing plans, recipes and trait research across your account.

The Trait Research is especially valuable within the crafting tables since you can monitor exactly what your alts have researched, are currently researching, and what needs crafting for your alts as you're crafting them. It keeps track of all their research, and whether you have researchable items in your inventory and/or bank. (example of trait research crafting below).

    something else
For current gen console users, there's also an add-on that filters known traits called Traderfilter.

I use this add-on and the aforementioned 702's Craft Completionist.

    https://mods.bethesda.net/en/elderscrollsonline/details/44df98e8-01a5-48d2-903d-41d3516f3289/TraderFilter/details

Between the two of them, it is easy for me to see which character knows what recipe, motif, research trait, etc at an account wide level and to search for only the stuff I need at the traders.

Motifs count as lore books for the weekly tome points, I don't want them to be stickerbooked across account because that means having to figure out which yellow pages I can go pick up. I do wish some of 702's completionist add on were base game, as it lets you track what one particular character knows even when on other characters.

before i get told theres add-ons that does it better let me tell you that i feel the development of the game title should do everything above and beyond to be the main development force behide its game not add-on developer's something zos and the eso development team has not done as there is literally no place in the game that an add-on doesnt do it better than the development team had there system doing ,this game has became 98% add-on 2% eso

So i looked and in gampad mode on PC i found only 19 lorebooks listed and yet i have the style master achievement which requires 50 styles learned.

Style Master is a weird achievement. Each style known or learned by any character counts, so 7 characters learning Motif 11 (Ancient Elf) counts as 7 styles learned for the achievement. If somewhat ancient memory serves, I popped Style Master back when I had five-ish characters who only knew a few playable race styles each and whoever's crafting passives were high enough to learn 11, 12, 13, and/or 14. Made me take a quick trip to the Achievements tab to see what was up with that, but it's total known, not unique styles.

I'm fresh out of outrage, but I could muster up some amused annoyance if required.

Style Master is an account-wide achievement and progress is cumulative across all your characters. You could learn 50 motifs on one character or one motif across 50 characters.

The Lore Library tab of your journal already displays that character's known motifs (and unless you're a completionist, there's no reason to learn them across multiple characters). And, yes, this works on gamepad, too:
    8mlahqwxjajo.png

And there is also a sticker book, of sorts--the Armor and Weapons style pages under Collections.

The Lore Library and Collections menus typically don't list Crown Store-only motifs, which is fine by me--you shouldn't have a hole in your completion because you didn't buy something from the in-game store.

    Account wide motifs when?

No. This would kill a huge aspect of trading, and seriously diminish participation in vet dungeon & trial runs.
