Silverbride, you already had a thread on dragons filled with suggestions on how to beat them. Why did you need to open another one?
    https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/673502/the-dragons-in-the-infinite-archive-are-too-difficult-for-arc-2/p1

First of all, the issue hasn't changed and is still causing me problems. Second, that was over a year ago so if I replied to that thread it would be closed as a necro.

I'd prefer feedback to this current thread rather than focus on an old thread that was found in my post history.

If you’re looking for feedback you’ll probably want to post a PoV video if you got the chance to capture one

Feedback is always welcome, and I appreciate the tips from other posters. But what I really want to see happen is to either make the platform larger or the Dragon model smaller if they are going to continue to appear in the lower less difficult arcs. Or keep them as they are and not have them appear until higher arcs where they more closely match the rest of the difficulty, which would be my preferred solution.

I find either of these solutions reasonable and hope they take them into consideration.

The IA is a challenge that increases the higher we progress through the arcs, but the first couple of arcs are very soloable. All but these Dragons, which I believe shouldn't even show up until later arcs anyway. If they won't provide a larger area to fight them then at least hold them back until their difficulty matches the difficulty of the arc the are presented in.

trust me, you DO NOT want to run into dragons (specifically ice) in later arcs.

I don't want to run into them at all!

But is that because they are more difficult versions of the Dragons in later arcs? I hadn't considered that.

Decided to try IA today because I want the Aedric Spear set for fun/rp. Got a Lightning dragon and following the advice here I killed it first try with my companion. Just stayed as close to center as I could without taking the damage and I wasn't knocked off, and just had to run to avoid the other stuff.

I also got the dragon on 2-4. At least that version didn't seem too hard IMO.

The lightning Dragon is the only one I've ever been able to defeat with just a Companion, but I can't do it every time. The fire one is the worst for me. Frost is pretty bad for me, too.

My companion is set up as a tank but as far as I could tell the Dragon didn't care about him at all. The other bosses (some of which I had to look up as I don't know their mechanics) he was able to tank fine. Guess the dragon is a tad different as it definitely seemed focused only on me.

Yea I use Azandar as a tank. He usually does pretty good but I agree these Dragons don't stick to the tank.

yes, it's because of the dragons getting harder in later arcs.

Everything gets harder as you progress through the arcs.

    edit to add:
it gets harder faster than you get stronger.

I got the fire dragon on 2-4 today but didn't find that much harder. I did die once because I wasn't expecting the mechanics and my companion runs into the fire that insta-kills him, but once I saw the mechanics I don't feel that dragon was any harder than the lightning one personally.

I find the fire Dragon worse because the fire completely obscures the area making it hard to find a safe spot to move to.

I really hope the toggle to turn down effects works for enemy effects too but I think it may just be player effects.

The safe spot for budgetYolnahkriin is the very edge of the arena, all around it, just like with the original in Sunspire.

Is that just bigger HP pools and higher damage numbers, or is there more to it than that (like different mechanics)?
