Thousand Eyes ahead of everyone by miles

Why is the Thousand Eyes so much ahead of the other two factions by at least two to three times? What's so special about joining this one and if the score doesn't reset occasionally (1x/week), then there is no competition aspect given how much ahead they are of Glittering and Ruckus.
PC-NA. Khajiit and Argonian only.
Wary on posting.

What this has done has essentially punished players who started early and joined one of the other factions. Players who started later could already see which faction was way ahead and join the winning faction. Pretty ridiculous to punish players who wanted to start right away.

Because everyone joined this faction since many people like the dye and the monster set is slightly more interesting than in the other two factions. There was even a thread about it here on the forum.

The Thousand Eyes are just too freakin awesome. It's just beyond comprehension how anyone, after meeting the daedrat and its servile maormer, could make any other choice!

The winning faction gets almost no benefit over the others. I don't understand why people are so worked up about 'winning'. Just pick the colour you want and have fun!

The scores are not remotely balanced. I still went Glittering Goad as it fits my character I'm using for Night Market.

I don't like this aspect of it, it's too lopsided especially as it's not hard to just pick the team with 3X the points of everyone else.

I agree. Isn't the only difference that the monster set has a higher upgrade quality?

When I first hopped into the NM the Eyes were at 1.36 million and the Ruckus was at 250 thousand. But I chose the Ruckus because big khajiit guy who claims to go against Daedric rule. That fits right in for my main character.
I'd rather have fun with choice. Do people really play by peer pressure?

I also like that they say you don't have to join either (unmoored, I think it's called?) and that if you really don't want to, it's an option with even NPCs who have done the same.

The Thousand Eyes is the DPS faction. DPS is always the dominant percentage of any group so it makes sense that the DPS faction would have the dominant percentage of favor. The other two factions deal more with tanking/ healing which are always the smallest percentage of any group.

I joined The Thousand Eyes for the DPS boost I expect to have once I complete the Golden Pursuits and get that faction gear as I primarily DPS in any group I join. Maybe later in future Seasons I will focus on non-DPS items. Time will tell..

My guess is that people are more interested in the monster set from Thousand Eyes than the sets from the other factions.

I picked Thousand Eyes for the same reason I picked DC: it's the blue faction.

People should know that the difference between winning and losing is the chance at getting a gold upgrade mat when deconning your final reward, versus the chance at a blue upgrade mat from that decon.

On the other hand, Ruckus fragments for the new recipe are currently the most valuable on the market because they have the lowest population and thus the lowest supply of fragments on the market.

I went with Ruckus due to the dye not being shiny on cloth material, and I hate shiny dyes on clothes. That and being biased for Khajiit (and in the RP community as well).

The whole DPS/heal/tank take makes some sense, but as others said, it's too lopsided to be considered competitive. If the score marker wasn't visible 24/7, that would be nice.

People are definitely sleeping on Ruckus Red. Sure you could have gold dye #43 or a teal that will look good on precisely 3 motifs, but a good matte dark red dye will fit into way more outfits.

I tried to enjoy the Glittering Gold.

It was so awkward to use, though. I thought, "here is a support item."

Except heavies take a long time. You'll never apply the debuff to adds in time.

If you're bashing to apply it, you might as well be in range and on a tank. In which case, you have better options.

If you're applying it to a boss, the rss regen isn't going to come into play.

And, heavies just take a lot of time to apply to multiple adds.

It felt clunky and unfun to use, so I avoided that faction.

The PVP crowd flooded a PVE event, for the mask set that has usage in PVP.
    Is that plain and simple.

I went against the guilds, who all pushed for Thousands Eyes, and picked Ruckus simply because want to help a fellow Khajii brother. And Kharakhal Moon-Eye looks like a cool fellow. 😁

For me it was pretty simple, the monster set from thousand eyes is the only one that has a chance of seeing the light of day, the other two are very lackluster. I'm not driven by a character backstory, just what helps me play the game.

Thousand Eyes has a slightly better set, and the winning team at the end will get the best reward.

So everyone who joins after a couple of days will pick the one which is winning, which is the one everyone joined because it has the slightly better set.

This sort of faction system has been done in loads of games and "everyone joins the already winning team, making it win much harder" has happened in every single one.

I saw this and still joined one of the other ones anyway. Its a shame really. How to prevent it, give bonus favor to the other 2 factions based on the player count disparity perhaps. Or just nerf their monster set lol😂 (Wondering if im serious about that?) This kind of stuff happens with Cyrodiil and other things all the time. I hate to see it, but it is what it is. I consider it to be an exploit and it detracts from the fun of the game.

I haven't investigated the monster sets at all. The knowledge seeker ethos appealed to me the most and the dye looks cool (but too shiny - more matte dyes PLEASE), but the deciding factor was really the leadership. Who wouldn't want to work for a daedrat possessing a Maormer?!

    Well, I don't, not realy.
But the other factions are just as awful, so I ended up doing it anyway, just because I don't have a teal dye yet, and do have golds and reds.

Ok I'll give a more genuine answer, less silly answer. Ive been disillusioned with pvp and end game pve stuff for years in this game (played since console release since moving to pc) So I make more characters with themed builds and backstory stuff now, using my tabletop experience to make actual characters instead of just 'this is my character I use for bombing' and etc etc. I try to just enjoy what else the game has to offer, and more or less play with my partner when I can. I have a character that could of worked for each faction, but the monsterset appealed the most to me and my main pve character who is kitted out the best would definitely go for the secret hording faction. I didnt even know about the whole 'cant join groups with those who are of other factions' that seems pretty lame considering this isnt pvpve. But even if this faction was doing the worst, I would of joined it because of its monster set. It fits best with both the themes and the mechanics of builds id like to make the most. The Ruckus Set seems the least interesting to me (But the Dye is definitely my fav, I dont want a blue dye or the 50th gold dye in the game, and I keep hearing about some recipe thing that might be nice to have on my provisioner), but The Glittering Goad Set is way more interesting to me for use then The Ruckus set and the grind to get the dye is huge enough to dissuade me from going The Ruckus when this event happens again. Not to mention from what it seems like, its going to be more annoying to even find a large enough group doing the content I want to do.
(She/They) NA player, I enjoy making themed builds!

It's because the Thousand Eyes is the quirk chungus faction

To me they felt like hippies. First contact was the watchling greeter who told me their group was a safe space for whatever, then I came across some npc sitting on the ground telling me how much she loved that everyone was so nice here and she felt cherished and welcome, and then there were several npcs who emphasized how the competition on the market was a friendly one. (Not sure how the original English wording is, but that's what I got.)

    I found it off-putting.

Didn't like the voice acting for the Maormer/daedrat talk much, either. Not saying the voice actor was bad, but the rat parts feel so clichéd and overacted in a way (which I guess was the instruction the voice actor got)? Also, not very pleasant for my ears.

Then again, I also found the dremora of the Glitter Group a bit weird. Not sure why she emphasized that one male dark seducer wearing a corset, who, if you talked with him, also only brabbled about his corset. Is it a meme I don't get? It felt random.

Thousand Eyes definitely feels the least invested in the competition and the least serious about it. The Ruckus is young and hungry and out here to kill stuff and prove themselves, and the Goad is here to make money and decadently roll around in their piles of gold and jewels. The Thousand Eyes is just like, "Is there a secret fifty-third way to make a sweetroll? WE MUST KNOW. Go find out!"

For my arcanist explorer whose entire motivation for existing is to read every scrap of paper, unlock and level all the skill lines, go to all the places, do all the quests etc, it was an easy sell. I'm not here to prove myself or to get rich, I just want to know all the things. Plus daedrats are so underrated - most players never give them a thought as they're just critters and I'm sure most Daedra feel similarly, so think of how many secrets were thoughtlessly spoken in front of them...
