Listen. I'll be quite frank. There are hundreds of bugs that need to be dealt with immediately. These bugs need full attention, and they need it now. Please put the Craglorn Project to the side for however long it takes, you have no reason to be putting out an update that could potentially bring more harm than good to a game that is already in the, "more harm" category. Please fix what you have instead of trying to release Craglorn as a save-face!

    Things such as -
    • Combat: The sluggishness and delays before the attack actually fires makes it grueling to even try to PvP/PvE. This, and combat animations completely failing to show at most points, taking damage for an attack I cannot see is not fun.
    • Quests: The main quest is still giving people issues. I will also include bot farming as a key element here. People have found a way to create free accounts. Find this issue and fix it. If you are, please let us know.
    • WereWolves/Vampires: You know the issues with this. Werewolves hinder the player and give almost no bonuses, while vampires are severely over powered when mixed with emperor status.
    • Veteran Level Content: This needs to be redone. The lore is off, no explanation as to why people refer to you as 'Soulless' after you redeemed your soul. The XP is not enough to justify spending hours grinding mobs. This is understandable, the grinding that is, however the particle-like XP we get from grinding them is horrendous and seems never-ending.

An MMO is not made like any other Generic Game out on the market. You need to mold and shape it overtime. Nothing will get perfect in a day, or week, or month, we understand this. However, do not put time and effort in a place that it is not needed when players are already struggling to get by with the bugs that exist now.

This is what I've seen from ZeniMax Online over the past few weeks.

    Zeni: "HEY LOOK ITS CRAGLORN"
    Players: "Fix the bugs please!"
Zeni: "LOOK AT THIS COOL NEW TRAILER OF CRAGLORN!"
Players: "The bugs please!? Do you even know they exist? Please tell us something!"
Zeni: "Fixed a couple of bugs... NEW DOCUMENTARY ON CRAGLORN!"
Players: "Those weren't the game breaking bugs we've been reporting! Can you-"
Zeni: "CRAGLORN TOMORROW! ... JUST KIDDING, STILL PRETTY COOL RIGHT?"
    Players: "GAH!!!!!!!"

Part of the problem here is that you don't have access to the patch notes as of yet. Many of the bug fixes are already built into the craglorn patch. The bugs you're describing require changes that are not possible in the little patches that we've seen so far, but rather in one that's going to be quite a download. Indeed many of the bugs that exist are happening because the system we have now was built with this content in mind and are occurring simply because part of the coding is simply not in our game clients as of yet. If anything you should be asking when it will be launched instead of asking for it to be delayed even further.

I'm sorry but I'll not post those notes here. Zenimax is perfectly capable of posting what notes they choose to at the time of their preference. Once you see those notes many of your concerns you're addressing here will be assuaged. In any case I wish you a good day.
For all the millions of pages of codified law we have enacted in this nation alone, all of it, every word, sentence, paragraph and nuance, is steeped in the singular idea of this:

The sense of entitlement on here is reaching critical levels.

The game has been released for just over a month now, yes? Go ahead and show me any MMO that has not released with bugs and problems. Go ahead. I'll wait.

WoW has had 10 years to iron problems out. Lord of The Rings Online has had 7 years. Not just over one month. For the love of goodness.

I am level 26. I am not rushing through it as it's not a race. I have encountered two very minor bugs so far. That's it. And a couple of server disconnections.

I am fairly sure that Zenimax are very aware of problems and are working to get them ironed out as well as adding new content into the game. The problem is that you are comparing this game to games that have been out for years, not months.

A little patience goes a long way, people.

I can not show you an MMO that have had no bugs on launch. On the other hand i can not name a single one that have been close to this level. These are not just small bugs. We have had tons of progression blocking bugs, duping of items, people actually logging in to other peoples accounts while they use their own login, for the first 3 weeks i would fall through the floor and have to alt+F4 about 5 times a day, people have had their entire banks erased, skill points erased, you name it. Its been bad. I actually really like the game, but you have to be a seriously deluded fanboy to say that this launch have not been a disaster.

Ah, so because I actually enjoy the game I am a deluded fanboy? Great retort.

And if you want disaster, look up FF XIV.

you are purposely misquoting me. I said that you would have to be a deluded fanboy to state that this launch have not been really bad. I myself said that i enjoyed the game.
Actually, ESO's launch was fairly smooth, when compared to other MMOs on the market.

There were bugs, but none as severe as some of the early EQ2 bugs. There were exploits, but none as severe as those in early WoW. There were technical issues, but none as severe as those in AoC.

The only MMO I can think of off the top of my head that had a smoother launch was Rift - though Rift had issues with server populations and massive queues (I remember having a 22 hour queue to log in to the game at one point).

Has ESO even had any unannounced server downtime?

For the most part i agree, i really hope zenimax takes this thread seriously.
Delay craglorn... i don't care there's enough in the game for me at the moment to keep me entertained for a while.
Please fix the bugs... i'm starting to get turned off the game to be brutally honest, i probably wont unsub yet, but it's definitely a considered option for me at the moment.

I already stated all the issues earlier in this thread. I see no reason to do it again. If you do not agree that those issues make a disaster of a launch then we simply have different viewpoints.

OP this is such a simplistic and frankly impractical suggestion.

Crag is already developed and will have different devs anyway.
Delaying end content will cause endless forum rage and customer dissatisfaction that only a fool would unnecessarily instigate.
The devs already have a programme of bug fixing, all this " do it now cos I say so" mentality actually does zero to speed up the process.

If people think that crag will release without bugs they are in cuckoo land, this content needs to be released so that it to in turn can be bug tested and fixed.

Zeno do a pretty good job in communicating their plans, where there are shortfalls they need mature, focused and insightful feedback, not scattergun generalised rages.

Ok guys, point me in the direction of the unsucky MMO, where everyone in the forums is really happy and positive.

Say anything negative about Turbine, point out someone is posting idiotic comments and you easily get perma-banned, so it's as near to a group-hug forum as I've seen.

Probably 90% of posters here, including myself, would have been banned there long ago.
I got loads of infractions there just for pointing out what I saw was making people leave in droves and for commenting on some of the dreadful posts from that community manager that shall not be named here. In the end I justleft the game and took my entire guild with me. I find it laughable the rage on these forums when I compare the sad state of lotro compared to what we have in eco only after a month. People actually want to delay the release of new content!!!!

Thats what happens when people skip stuff and actually never read.
To bad you didn't "listen" to Meridia and Cadwell.

Same as in forums , people never read and actually don't learn!

The best example that some players prefer a path of guessing all day instead reading and learning. And this kind expects others to pay attention or to sympathize with arguments that are not true.

    Ridiculous!

You people realize that a large company has different teams working on different things right? Like having a team not work on craglorn would not change anything about the bugs and technical issues...you guys do realize that right?

That is also not how it works. Just having more people to work doesn't mean those people can work anywhere. Think of it like having too many professors in the field of...lets say engineering. Even if you took some profs off engineering, they can't teach philosophy just because they're also professors

What makes you think that Zenimax doesn't have the staff to handle the problems of the game? Bugs have been reported, and bugs have been squashed. There are a good number of fixes coming with the 1.1.x patch that will also include Craglorn. Just because a problem isn't being addressed immediately doesn't mean it hasn't already been addressed. After all, people complained that there were too many patches rolling out too frequently, and Zenimax listened. You get what you ask for.

Also, all the people that think that the various development divisions of Zenimax should stop all their work and fix bugs should consider diminishing returns. Just because you throw more people at a problem doesn't mean it will get fixed any faster. Imagine 10 people trying to change the same light bulb, 1 person changes the light bulb, one person holds the ladder, and 8 people stand around waiting to see if they need to change the light bulb. It's a simplified example, but it's very true.

Throwing more programmers at a problem isn't necessarily the answer. Especially since a lot of the people involved with Craglorn development are World Designers, Animators and Sound Engineers, not necessarily programmers. What good would a World Designer be fixing low level problems found in the actual game Engine itself... none at all. :)

Not saying there aren't critical issues that need to be addressed, but as with every MMO ever made...the team that works on bugs is separate from the team that works on new content.

Is this the leader of the bug team?

I am not certain if it is or not but if it is someone need to to tell him that the bugs in his carpet are not th ones we are complaining about

At least some people actually understand how game development works instead of spouting out nonsense that wasn't thought through. THAT'S HOW WE GET ANTS!
