This is the official feedback thread for the new PvP Veterancy Reward Campaign. Specific feedback that the team is looking for includes the following:
  • Did you get rewards properly?
  • Did it progress via any experience or AP gained outside of a PVP Activity excluding Duels or Tribute?
  • Any bugs or issues with the progression system?

I feel like the title of this system will get people confused with the Veteran system, i.e. the umbrella title for content that unlocks at Level 50 (Champion Points, Veteran Dungeons, Veteran Pledges, etc). Unless you have to be Level 50 before this activates in Cyrodiil and other PvP settings?

Can we have PVP ranking tied to account and not character? I have now 16 characters and like to play through my different builds in PVP. Would be nice to progress as an account.

Obviously people that multi-faction would be affected, but make it where only factional toons count towards that progress on that campaign.

Additionally, Emperor system should be linked to real-time alliance points during map capture, not awarded to the lifer who stays up until 4am grinding with his buddies to farm AP. Let the factions reward Emperor for the leading player for that session. Once emperor falls off, the system resets.

You could even tie the veterancy system into that during the proposed cycles.

Nothing more annoying than helping someone get Emperor, then they go pass out from exhaustion and leave the map open.

Is there a way to know how much AP/XP is required for each unlock level? It's hard to gauge if this is a system I want to engage with without having a sense of how much effort will be required for it.

Currently the only indicator for it is is shown by hovering the cursor over the Veterancy tab in the Alliance menu, but it only shows progress to the next rank.

Personally, I'd like to see it appear by hovering over each Veterancy rank.

Yeah I meant for all the levels not just the current level. Also is one "Rank Point" one AP? What's the XP conversion? Do AP/XP scrolls affect this?

Edit: From a little testing it seems One AP is one Rank Point. One XP is 0.16 Rank Point. XP scrolls do affect gain from XP source. AP scrolls affect gain from AP sources.

Still would like a full scope of Rank Points required for all the levels.

When you rank up in Veterancy, you receive a standard item on the Notifications page about the rank up. If you go to the Notifications page and click the check mark symbol to view the item, the Notification page closes and nothing on the Veterancy page opens up to show you the new rank or any rewards you just earned. The same goes for the new Veterancy icon on the L (Alliance War) screen. Sometimes I will click it and nothing will open until I click it a second time.

Also, it would be nice if we could see our Veterancy Rank on the C (Character) screen or even the L (Alliance War) screen.

I do like how the Crafting Satchel reward bags contain a material for all seven crafting disciplines and are scaled to my crafting (or CP?) level.

Sorry, the Veterancy page UI is horrible.

No current/required point numbers on this screen.
I can see "Rank 1: 2704/9897" only on the Alliance War page by hovering over the Veterancy tab.
These numbers have to be on the Veterancy page. I opened it to see my progress, but I can't see it.

The progress bar is tiny. The biggest visual elements on this screen are the rank emblems - the least important ones.
Sure, the designers are proud of their work on these emblems, but I don't need them to be this big.
I need to see my progress here, not to look at the big emblems that obstruct the progress bar and leave no place for the numbers I'm interested in.

No information about point amounts for further ranks.
I want to plan my activity. If I make an average of 1 mil AP per week, I want to know what ranks and rewards I can expect at the end of the season. So I could push forward if I want some more, for example.
Currently I have no idea. "You'll know when you reach it" is a bad approach.

Please, update this screen with the information that is important for players. It really needs some redesign.

I'll give a vote here for a name change, specifically for "Seasons"

Look: PvP Veterancy is divided into "Seasons" which are 6 months long. ESO also releases its content in "Seasons" which are 3 months long. PvP "Seasons" and PvE "Seasons" also don't start or end on the same dates. In PvP "Seasons," you get Veterancy to get the rewards and can redeem them once you get to a proper rank. In PvE "Seasons," you need to use Tome Points to buy things.

This is going to get confusing. Like, I understand it, but even then it's tough to write it down because there's just enough overlap to make it awkward.

the PvP "Seasons" need to be called something else. That way we know that the 6-month "Crusade" (or whatever) is different from the "Seasons" of Tomes.

It would be good to see a breakdown of what exactly is required to hit the max rank.

At a glance, these rewards are super underwhelming. Titles are cool but many of us play with them off to reduce visual clutter. Having a huge amount of the early rewards be vengeance related is also a massive turn off for those of us uninterested in that environment.

Would really like to see some highly desirable rewards added to the late ranks. Things like polymorphs, skins, mounts, or weapon/armor styles that really stand out.

The name Veterancy is dumb. Change that to nothing overlapping any other system in ESO.

Rewards. I've played PVP for years and still do not have all items for all PVP sets. Currency is meaningless for vets, millions of AP and telvar, maxed out transmutes (even with the recent increase to 3k).

Put in some options to get curated item sets where the item is guaranteed to be one not in the sticker book.

And Rewards of the Worthy - oh my god stop giving out gorethief. I'm done. It's a waste of an email. Put in some curation on open or a chance at curation.

Agreed that "Veterancy" is too vague and easily confused with other systems.

I bet if they put Hakeijo into this reward track, it would motivate more players to engage, and ultimately make IC way less toxic. Really all mats that "average PvP gameplay" wouldn't get you, like gold craft mats, that kind of thing would be good to see.

As long as it's never any form of on-field stat advantage.

Made a quick edit in Paint to show my approach to it:

Perhaps something like this could be implemented @ZOS_Kevin?
