Firstly, let me just say - I love this game. I've loved it since the beta runs, I bought the Imperial Edition of the game, I've played every day since my 5 days early access. I bought six months subscription because I love playing this game. This is not an 'I am leaving' post, as I don't see the point in those. I am just stating the things that are currently causing me to make this decision.

I have just cancelled the renewal this morning.

Zenimax has six months to prove to me that things will improve. If they do, great, I'll re-sub for another six. However, things need to seriously improve.

The bot and gold seller problem is getting worse, so bad now that it is seriously interfering with my gaming and character progression. It's becoming pointless to have a crafting guy, simply because all the materials are so heavily camped and botted. My in-game mail is filled every day with gold seller and power levelling spam. I don't cheat in games. I have NEVER cheated in games and don't intend to start now. I don't see the point of even playing a game if only to not actually PLAY the thing properly!

My Mac client STILL regularly crashes, even when it's claimed to be fixed. Several crashes EVERY DAY, usually when activating something or someone. Still not fixed.

The other little niggles are not important, but the botting situation is now completely out of control and unacceptable to a paying customer who just wants to play her game properly.

If, in six months time, this is still such a crippling issue, I'll be going back to playing and modding Skyrim and no further money will be coming this way. That would be a shame as this game has a lot of evolving potential.
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

I wouldn't hold my breath while you're waiting for those improvements.
That which we obtain to cheap we esteem to lightly, it is dearness only that gives everything its value.

Well, usually it's not a good idea to hold your breath while waiting anything so i don't see why you needed to warn him about holding his breath?

You can make light of the situation all you want however given the current lack of concern for the customer that ZoS has shown things will not be fixed in the foreseeable future. They have our money and now they can move on to the next batch of suckers I mean customers.

Read known issues, would be amazed on what u might learn if u took the time to read announcements instead of adding yet another whine thread. ( I agree they need to be stopped, but this thread is another whine spam.)

I am starting to get irritated by a few things. New bugs popping up with each patch, the lack of even a ballpark time frame for thieve's guild, justice system, spellcrafting, and Dark Bro.hood, to name a few. Those should have been in since day 1. It's making it to where I don't want to level anymore because I don't want to be max level or even higher level when that stuff comes out. Ive been leveling an orc who I don't really care whether he is in thieve's or DB because that's not his style anyways, but still, Im an alt-o-holic and miss my other chars..

Other little things are starting to *** me off, too. When I was in an AD area a couple weeks ago, i encountered a high elf and a bosmer arguing. I was asked to take sides. THis wasn't a quest, just a "random" encounter. I chose the Bosmer's because I was one too. After the argument, the high elf had some smart ass comment. The fact I couldn't slaughter him for it, or that I don't have a lot of choices in this game in regards to stuff like that is really starting to irritate me.

Another thing is bank slots. THe lack of space is ridiculous. And what about "trophies" and other collectables? My bank-character is starting to fill up just like my actual bank. It's getting really old TBH.

I know there's many MMO gamers who don't care about player housing, but many more do care about it. Im the latter. It's a part of the ES series I want some damn housing.

I know there's people who think the lack of skill slots is some how about strategy, but that's complete b.s.. It's SOLELY because gamers these days cannot handle too much variety. I see people complaining that too many skills slotted is over whelming for their plebeian little minds. We are seeing a new trend in MMOs, especially ARPGs, where we are greatly limited on how many skills we can have slotted. Did my character suddenly get stupid and can no longer remember how to use an attack? Please. It's absurd. At least let us put the same weapon on both weapon bars. THere is no reason not to, especially when I can use the same weapon TYPE on both bars. So why make me hunt down or buy an equally good weapon of the same type to use on both hotbars? Makes no sense, and Im tired of games limiting me because others don't like options. Don't use them if you don't like them. No one is forcing you to use 12 skills at once, but I like to do so. I dunno, the latter isnt a huge deal for this game, but it's still an annoyance and the reason behind it is infuriating.

Frankly, and to make a long story short, I don't think Im going to re sub in June. I started off as one of this game's most staunch defenders; even to the point of being kind of mean to those who said it sucks or were nit picking. Now I guess Im the nit picker because I don't see any reason to play anymore until things change and we get word on new content. I can't believe Craglorn is the first major update. i have ZERO interest in that, but that's just me. Oh! And, we need a 1H weapon skill "tree". Most of the 1h/shield skills require said shield. And I'd like a melee class or a weapon class that doesn't rely on magicka, too. Play how you want, my foot. If you want to be an all weapons user, you end up losing a bunch of skills while the classes, which ALL rely on magicka, have 15 skills plus ultimates and passives.
So yeah, if we don't get some news on a ball park figure; I don't even care if it says "We'd like to have the justice system and new guilds implemented SOMETIME this summer", I'm going to unsub.. Makes me sad, to be honest. I really wanted to adore this game and make it my main MMO. We'll see how I feel on May 30th lol. Im not giving an ultimatum, nor a 6th month time frame. Ill gladly come back when things are better. If they don't change things or whatever, oh well. I played the snot out of this game since early access and spending the money I spent was worth it, even if I never come back. I try almost every MMORPG that comes out, so this is nothing new for me to spend money on an MMO and only play for a couple of months. ;)
