I would go for a design like this but that's just me

    That's a good werewolf!

These are good examples of what a werewolf should look like. Very beastial and upright but have lupine features

Ah, I see. Respecting the artistic vision - against changing a design from how the artist originally imagined it?

Ugh can we not derail the thread with AI drama?

Edit: Especially since the other was closed.

I was actually wondering if we could possibly consider a title change, if the devs deem this as the main thread, I feel like it could be named as such.

I've changed the title to something hopefully less opinionated.

Thank you, I wasn't admittedly going to ask, but since the forum mods are closing other threads on the topic, I felt like it'd be a good idea.

More blood is better! Really adds so much to the intimidation factor.

Hircine’s blessed shouldn’t be celebrating over a hunt all clean-like, they should be spattered in the gore. (stains lasting a minute after feeding would be good I’d say)

I hope Gnash will also coat our muzzles in viscera, because we're literally biting chunks of flesh out of people. It'd be a huge missed opportunity otherwise.

Really not a fan of the direction they've gone. Never been a fan of the mangy thing that you see in bad horror movies and it doesn't feel like it fits here in any case. It doesn't feel like Hircine's style. Bulk it out. Give it a full coating of fur. Should look like the Lord of the Hunt's pride and joy, not a scraggly mutt.

I assume you're referring to something like the Van Helsing Werewolf 2004 film with a tail? That would be awesome but hey we got to wait and see what happens to the model they're working on

Van Helsing is pretty much the gold standard for me, yeah. Especially if they gave it a tail. xD
So many horror movies go the other direction and make them patchy and ragged looking. But yes, we'll have to see what they end up with. Hopefully taking some inspiration from some of the awesome mock up that folks here have done.

In thinking more on the proposed model shown in the update, leg day appears to have been skipped. We must never skip leg day especially if we are going on all fours hunting prey.

    Beefier limbs would help.

Yes, I've been trying to say this for awhile but it keeps getting overlooked. The limbs are so scrawny and short.

I'm still holding out hope that we'll see some much needed improvements on the model come PTS time. I need the two weeks to get here quickly lol.

Hey there. Very long time werewolf player here. And then back to Skyrim too.

I’m a designer for animated features, so I know how tough it is to put work out there when it’s not finished - and I really appreciate how forward you’ve all been with asking what we think as players. I’m also very excited that werewolves are getting some love and attention (:

With that said, I’d like to raise my hand and also say that I’d prefer something closer to the Greymoor trailer Werewolves.

My (personal) werewolf RP experience isn’t as a sick or twisted creature - but as a big sleek predator working for our buff Deer Daddy. And I’d have to say, despite the low polygons - the old model did the job.

The new one feels more “Harry Potter” werewolf to me - and I’m just not feeling it. The features are pointier, more rat-like. I do get the intention with the design though. But it’s not an intention I felt over the last decade(ish) of playing the game.

The new model just doesn’t “feel” like the old one - even in spirit. They feel like two different stories. And if the new model becomes what my werewolf looks like - it will fundamentally change how I feel about playing as a werewolf.

So yeah, count me in for one of the folks that would prefer a model closer to the Greymoor trailer - and as a player that would be disappointed with the currently proposed design if it was implemented.

Respectfully. And again, thanks for putting this out there.

So far I've been drawing everyone's suggestions and I realized I never really drew what I wanted in a werewolf so here it is. I couldn't decide between abs and fur so I met in the middle and put some light fur on the abs.

I'm sorry if I made anyone sad with what it can be. This means alot to me too and I really wanted to give the devs some insight as to what everyone wants to see on the off chance they get to see these.

Thank you Enemoriana for the assist those ears look amazing :D

I would be very happy with something like this. The face is boxier and more wolf-ish. I like the ears. I like the eye placement. I like that he looks beefy. I like the hair distribution around the neck which makes him vaguely regal, rather than sickly. Excellent work.

I don't recall that at all. They had some variations in eye color but not glow. Could you be misremembering a mod?
The eye glow in those images looks really clowny. Eye color as a cosmetic is a good idea. It could be based on your character eye color or its own cosmetic (minor adornment).

You can remove the glow but the fur looks good. At least the basic design. However glowing eyes is a supernatural thing etc. The Werewolf Lord Eyes Glow and Balorgh's From The March of Sacrifice dungeon. Does this look better? No glowing eyes?

The only time werewolves eyes glow in TES are either magical werewolves or during a more mystical move (as you noted with werewolf lords). I would strongly prefer they don't default to glowing eyes and save that for premium skill styles and reimaginings. I know those aren't on the table until their workload relating to the class reworks and other projects are done since they've already said as much more or less but they will eventually come and as I mentioned in the skill style thread I am very much for magical skill styles like the zombie werewolf from the original cinematic being a skill style variant in game. I just want the base game werewolf to look more natural and not have something that doesn't fit traditional werewolves lore wise and doesn't really fit my character. The fur and looking more like a hyena are a problem, eye glow could risk looking too cartoony and turn people off, myself included.

yes, also the model ZoS showed off needed more fur. The Ai weirdness aside, the non-glowing eyes look much better.
