You know, since AwA (Account Wide Achievement), I think we've had our fill of things that need to be shared (except perhaps for the special case of sets; it's a nightmare trying to keep track of which piece you know for each character, i mean it's shared but not for crafting... non sense).

however, I think it's good that there are still objectives to complete for each character, and the bonuses that come with them, like for Mora.

All chars have all benefits for me. So seven of them.

It is goofy that you have to do it per character.

If it were a one-time giga-grind, then sure. But it isn't. It is an unreasonable burden to place on players.

I commend the people that have grinded the max bonus on multiple toons.

I can see going for the same achievement for multiple toons is understandable that have no gain to the character's performance/stats.
But when it comes to a set/mythic, I believe the grind should only be once and the full benefit of the set can be active. It's literally the only set in the game that involves multiple repetitive farm. (if you want the max benefit on another toon).
Besides the point, even though that's another opinion on the matter.

I do believe if a grind is required for max bonus, Mages guild 10 should suffice imho. Players are more likely to stop hunting lorebooks once they reach Mages guild 10 on multiple characters to gain the skills they want. Instead of continuing looking for books just for the full bonus of a mythic that's honestly, just very "niche".

Boggles my mind that folk are defending the repeated grind. Talk about disrespecting player time!

Why should it be that way for one relatively underpowered item and not for anything else? That makes no sense at all.

Insane that people are in here defending objectively bad item design because of some arbitrary grind. It is absolutely not justifiable that the grind to get the full bonus of this mythic is "per character" and not account wide.

Purely based on stats alone, this mythic is by no means strong. The opportunity cost of losing your monster set due to this being a shoulder is very detrimental in PVP, and in PVE the item is flat out outclassed by multiple other mythics for everything. Full stop.

The EXP bonuses it offers are most useful when leveling new skill lines, which you're typically doing on newer characters. In most cases it would genuinely be a waste of time to go and farm every single lore book in order to speed up this leveling with the maxed out mythic, because doing so would take more time than it would save with the bonus exp if you were to simply spend that time grinding normally with a different mythic on instead.

The one use case for this mythic is doing it on a brand new eso account while you're manually grinding your mages guild, if your intention is then to go and grind 1k+ Champion points as well as all of your crafting lines. That is the one scenario where it might actually be worth it to go and collect all the lorebooks, since you can also multitask things like collecting skyshards, leveling scrying/excavation, doing the scribing quests, etc - but it will only be worth it if you get lucky with the time it takes to farm the leads themselves.

The Sclerotic Tentacle might actually be the worst lead to farm in the entire game, apart from maybe the time gated leads. Watchlings are few and far between, and the drop rate for this lead from them seems to be astronomically low. The Bloodshot Oculus is pretty annoying as well, with watchers being so sparsely distributed. The lurker-skin sheath requires doing loops in a public dungeon for RNG chests, hoping nobody else is doing it at the same time, while dealing with hordes of NPCS. The Twitching Eyeball drops from the 3rd boss in imperial city prison, requiring roughly a 10 minute time investment per chance at receiving the drop.

I just did this grind as I'm leveling my PC EU account from scratch. I did basically the most efficient methods for everything, including force spawning the watchlings for the tentacle which took 3 hours. The lurker-skin took me nearly 5 hours of vile manse chest farming, and I was doing it during off hours with no competition. The Oculus took me 2 hours of resetting normal cauldron instances, which gives access to two high level watchers every 3 minutes or so. I was lucky enough to get the ICP lead on my first attempt, but again this is 10 minutes per chance at the lead. The clothing node lead is probably the only one that isn't actually bad to farm. That is over 10 hours to get this mythic, when I probably only needed about 30-40 hours of nBRP to hit the 1.2k CP softcap. Definitely was not worth it at all.

Either the mythic should reach it's maximum power after unlocking all the books one time, or it should be based on your mage's guild level itself. It is just a laughable and self defeating gimmick to require the RNG lead farm followed by the per character book farm.

Hsving it scale with mages guild isnt terribly lore friendly imo. Just make the damn book collection account wide. Or add an account wide "moras disciple " achieve that unlocks the ring account wide.
