I could be wrong, but I think that may be a holdover from an older game bug. Before stackable T-Maps, sometimes when you failed to loot a treasure map because it was a duplicate of one you already had in your inventory, you still couldn't loot it even after you sent the one in your inventory into the bank (or even destroyed it). The game's back-end still thinks you have one in your inventory.

This should be fixed in the latest update. The reason for this is that the addon was checking for the inventory slot of a survey or treasure map to clear to redraw all the markers (rather than do this every time something changed in the inventory).
With surveys, because the survey is consumed immediately upon interaction the time delay of the harvesting action made sure that there was always a brief moment of that inventory slot becoming empty.
With the change in how treasure maps are consumed only upon interaction with the chest that's dug up, if you had autoloot on the game would immediately fill that slot causing the addon to not register that the slot was emptied and redraw the markers (which would clear them).

the addon is absolutely awesome, but today it stopped working on my partner's xbox.
Yesterday it worked fine, but now the marker just does not show up. We mainly tried surveys.
We already reinstalled a few times, which didn't help. Travelling to different zones also did not help.
No UI errors on startup. Is there maybe some debug command or so we could try to find out if the addon i running correctly?

Are the survey's resource nodes there for the harvesting?

Because the command was recognized, the addon is loaded in properly (that command toggles a vertical pin for treasure map locations for visibility).
