I watched a video on 2H animations that brought up a good point.
The animations are great, but it all falls apart once light attack weaving is added. In case the time stamp doesn't play it starts at 4:38 in the video. This is not my video. Credit to Ninja Pulls for the deep dive! 🙏

Can I suggest something unconventional. Would it be so wrong to have 2 character models at once when a weave cancel happens. One character model continues to play the canceled animation and fades out. The other character model pulses into existence doing the next animation. I guess you can describe it as 'character echoes'. I am no artist, so I can't mock anything up. I'm sorry and hope I am getting the idea across in this post.
