Queuing for Cyro in IC when you have Tel Var - proposal

I've always thought it was kind of strange you could q for Cyro when in IC because it's an ez way out when you have a lot of tel var. You know, blow up a bunch of people after they kill a monster, bag 40k tel var, and off to cyro you go without even having to use one of the (somewhat costly) items designed for the purpose of an easy escape. If I'm tel var farming I'll hit a cyro q once I get a few thou even though I'm sort of against the idea in principle - I mean it's there, it's legal, so I'll do it. But it just strikes me as against the original spirit of how IC was supposed to work.

Anyway, so ZOS is throwing around the idea of making it impossible to q for Cyro if you have 100+ tel var. Okay, this seems like a hastily thought out solution. Either remove the q entirely (but that would make it impossible to chill in IC while you wait for your Cyro q to pop - do people do this?) or at least make it like 1000 tel vars. I mean for Pete's sake if you accidentally get in combat with enemies and kill them you could *accidentally* accumulate 100 tel var in about 6 seconds. They might as well just remove the q, or make it so you can only q from base.

Just my thoughts.

They do hang out in ic during cyro queue yes but I’m not a big fan of this change since now because of the no queue requirement people will just sit in the base instead of fight which was fun while queueing.

I guess this is probably for the best if they actually have plans to make ic better. Remains to be seen.
Zos then: Vengeance is just a test bro

Zos now: Do you want Vengeance permanent or permanent...

1000 telvars would make more sense anyway. Who ports to Cyro to save less than 500 telvars?

ppl who just want to get out XD <raises hand> although i rarely ever come down off the tower, so i'm able to just go back down the trapdoor into the base. every now and then i will fall off and find somewhere to hide in a panic and port out though

I wouldnt object to this so much if the were faster ways back to the base.

There is one place where you can enter back into your base in IC. Which means that all somone needs to do is camp that spot. There are 9 exits from the base into IC vs 1 return point.... why?

To me, IC has always encouraged the worst of PVE-P behaviors which is why its mostly disliked.

Because that is part of the core gameplay of Imperial City. You weren't always able to just queue out, back when Imperial City was still part of Cyrodiil's campaigns - when it was still a fun place to go. Ever since IC became its own thing, people have just abused the queue to teleport out of IC whenever, completely avoiding the threat of encountering a ganker at those chokepoints of the sewer entrances and the sewer base respectively. Remember that Imperial City is a PVP zone. You are supposed to fight people there. Of course you were able to sidestep this danger by buying sigils of Imperial Retreat, so if you want to farm without worries, just do that again from now on.

I think this change has potential to restore the broken gameplay loop of Imperial City somewhat, but I also think that people are just going to walk onto those safe zones behind the doors between districts and simply log off there. You can't really stop them from doing that and they will get ported out of IC automatically to free up the population space. But at leas that's pretty inconvenient to the people looking to abuse the system, so it's a start.

Even 5000 or 10000 would be a more reasonable number. I wouldn’t go all the way back to base just for 1000 and I don’t really farm tel var.

I'm opposed in general to killing the que for Cyrodiil while in IC.
They allow people to camp ladders and spawn points. They allow the Warden teleport to be used so a player can actually teleport up to a spawn location from another faction. Camping spawn points and ladders should be fixed so you can't do that. The instant stealth pots should be gotten rid of. It's stupid that someone can use an instant stealth pot, be in a huge AOE of damage, and because they went stealth, they take no damage. If they are going to be able to use stealth pots, then they should take damage if they are in an AOE, and if they use any ability while stealthed, they should become revealed and have to deal with the cool down. Quite frankly, since I get unstealthed by crouching if I take damage, the same should apply while either using crouch or a stealth pot.
Sometimes I like to run the IC dailies, and it's easier to just que for Cyro, then either que and go back and turn in, or go to a base/Chapter zone.
There are other things to fix in PvP areas than queueing for Cyrodiil.

Navigating the sewers is a pain, it's also laggy there at a few parts for me for some reason. I'm mostly fine with the change since it gives more purpose for the retreat stone, but ugh I already dislike IC as is, and this doesn't help.

Well, if I get locked out of using queue to Cyrodiil the next time I finish doing my one PvE quest during Whitestrake's Mayhem for the event ticket, I will crouch, remove all weapons, armor, jewelry, and run to the nearest enemy NPC. Is there a Banzai emote?

Is there a way if we accidentally get over 100 Telvar stones that we can drop them, other than getting killed by a player, of course?

You can get killed by an NPC. There's no way outside of dying to intentionally lose Tel-Var

Don't think so, only two ways are to die by a player or NPC.
