Least Popular Game-Mode Loses Popularity is quite a 2026 headline. Have fun in there with the grand total of 6 other people who play IC.
I couldn't have been the only person playing it who wasn't exploiting queuing to Cyrodiil when about to drop Tel Var. Either way, that's 6 people who will be controlling the Hakeijo market. I enjoy the content in IC regardless, as stated above. Its my favorite content, players or not.

This post is a good proof that PvPers doesn't want to pvp but only to get easy kill.

Don't not try to make us believe this change will be bad for gankers who wouldn't be able to leave easy after getting good kills, those kind of players are build to be sneaky in general and so can safely run back to base or anyway have certainly sigil to teleport safely.

Any PvPer worth their salt carries Detect Pots on them, and if you're in a group, you're almost guaranteed to have someone with a detect pot off of cooldown.

On live, that fact doesn't matter, because as soon as a ganker kills a target, they queue out instantly.

Now, the ganker will kill someone, their group will pop a detect potion, and the group will kill the ganker.

This change is not good for gankers, no matter how you try to misrepresent it.

PvPers have been asking for this change precisely because they want to PvP. I'm sick of coming across players in the PvP zone only to have them queue out immediately if they realize they can't win the fight.

Remember when they stopped us to be able to leave instance while in combat? Was a good idea remember?

Everybody should finish every dungeon they enter in no matter what, even if they got a good reason to leave (like not being able to rez in Sanctum Ophidia).

The same with PvP, you have to lose all the Tel Var you passed your freetime to farm to get some stupidly expensive gear/style/runes because you get killed by someone sneaking around who waited you to pull a boss or you have to die if you see a big group starting chassing you not letting you any chance to get back to your base!

Always good idea to remove those little freedom options mostly when they are "exploits" it always makes games better!

Yes, every person should have an opportunity to escape any fight as soon as he wants. Sniff the smoke? IMMEDIATE EXTRACTION. (sarcasm)

Folks that play with this kind of mentality need more chores in real life to do. Then you will not be going to a video game to satisfy that chore-itch in your brain.

This mental change will improve your enjoyment of the game:
    1. Just go into Imperial City to play the game where you must fight both powerful PVE bosses and enemy players at the same time.
    2. In trials and dungeons there are bosses which have mechanics you must figure out to beat them. Enemy players are more fun because they are like dynamic bosses.
    3. If some enemy players are killing you too easily, then figure out how to prevent them and adjust your build. There is great sadistic pleasure in spoiling enemy player efforts. You do not have to win, just prevent them from winning. I learned this as a kid playing defense in soccer.
    4. You forget about accumulating currency because you are enjoying the game.
    5. After a long time, one day, you notice you have accumulated a big pile of currency. You then use it to buy a reward that appeals to you.
    6. Because you did not enough currency to buy all the rewards, you cherish the reward you do have.
    7. Because not everyone has every reward, folks can take pride in showing off the things that they do have, and appreciate the different tastes and choices of others.

The mental process of: seeing a thing that must be obtained and what it takes to obtain it, and then doing those task until the goal is achieved – this is incredibly taxing. I save that kind of effort for real life. Save that energy for career education or political causes or charity work. Not a effin' Xivkin polymorph.

    Maybe like 5-7 years ago.

Average sale on PCNA is ~13k. A lot of time and a lot of risk just to make that much each sale. If that is a lot of money to you then Godspeed! I don’t think it’s worth it.

Most of us have plenty of Tel-Var to just buy a few ourselves if needed.

So the main reason I run IC is during Whitestrake Mayhem and my Cyrodiil queue is really long. I like how I can pop into IC and kill time while my Cyrodiil queue ticks down, but I guess if I have any sort of telvar on me then my queue is going to shut off now?

I never knew people actually used that sort of trick to stack telvar and flee lol. I suppose it’s good that those people won’t be able to do that, but now I’m bummed that I won’t be able to use IC to properly kill time for Cyro.

Hakeijo also drops from psijic portals and like candy during the anniversary boxes so even if IC disappears, eh. We'll be fine.

I haven't tested, but I assume the queue restriction is simply on starting a new queue. I don't think you're prevented from accepting a queue you joined before having 100 Tel Var.

Unfortunately this isn't something you can easily test in PTS since there's not enough players to form a queue. @ZOS_Kevin can you confirm if the restriction prevents you from accepting a pre-existing queue? Or will people be able to queue for Cyrodiil, then go top-side while waiting and still be able to accept their queue once they've hit 100 TelVar? The latter would be extremely preferable, as those using IC to wait for other queues aren't really part of the problem.

    - You can queue Cyro and IC from any other zone, you will be promoted 2 queues, after you accept IC queue, you also can accept Cyro queue. So, you will be able to go Cyro queue and play IC as much as you want and you will be able to join Cyro once it is you turn, you will not be rejected, queue will not be automatically declined.
    - You can also queue dungeons and BGs.
    - You can also queue before you get 100 Tel Vars, then get any amount of them and you still will be able to accept the q once it pops up.

Now it is very primitive check, it only checks once in the very beginning and nothing invalidates it, no other additional checks. Can say it with 95% confidence.

I have abused the queue to Cyrodiil “feature” as much as anybody, but mainly because I couldn’t be bothered to get an imperial retreat thingy and just wanted to exit quickly when I accomplished whatever I came into IC for.

I am actually not against the change though. I agree it was not being used as intended. If any developers read this thread I would ask for the following additional changes:

    1. Make sigils bankable. I hate that I can’t move them to another character.
    2. Not sure if this already works, but let us still queue prior to entering the sewers/city. Sometimes I will play IC while I wait for a long campaign queue. If I lose my position because I have 100 TV then I will definitely not play IC as much (not that I am playing that often now).
    3. Rethink the Alliance aspect of IC. I think it would be more fun if the server used teams and kept the population balanced. One of the reasons I don’t like IC is that if a farming group of the “wrong” alliance is there then it is a miserable experience. If players/groups were assigned teams then they wouldn’t be able to overpopulate one alliance as easily and the fights would be more balanced.
