Just interested in how this will be implemented. If you've bought some on multiple characters do you keep them all (so have more than the existing 10) or will we lose the extras? I know we'll still have them but we'll have paid 2/3/4+ times for the same thing so I think it's valid to feel like we're losing out.

Usually I'd just be resigned to losing them, but with everything announced today it does feel like they're at least trying to consider us players more so is it wrong to feel cautiously optimistic?

it might be wishful thinking, but maybe they'll refund crowns for players who purchased more than 10 outfit slots

I bought Dark Brotherhood, Wrothgar, Thieves Guild and Greymoor, but they're going to be included in the base game soon. Should I expect a refund too?

I'm wondering if they will be able to see Outfit Slots we purchased for alts we may have deleted over the years. I have quite a few on characters who no longer exist, but wish I had back.

I'm hoping that this means that outfit slots will become cumulative. For example, if I have 2 characters with 10 outfit slots each, then I would have 20 account wide outfit slots which could be used on any character I chose.

I sincerely hope we will NOT be seeing the outfits of other characters on each other. I would be very upset if the individuality of the slots was taken away.

If each character will still only have ten slots, then I hope to see compensation for slots that were purchased in the past. These slots were very expensive and it would really be bad if someone who had 10 slots on all characters didn't get compensated.

@ZOS_Kevin Can you help us to find some clarity on what will happen with these slots?

One of the descriptions I saw had it clarified that they're still per-character outfits, just account-wide unlock.

Yeah I have a lot of toons that I've spent crowns on slots, if you add them all up I'd get tons of outfit slots. I'd rather have some crowns back than like 20 outfit slots per toon. I mean I'm not going to get upset about it if the rest of the stuff next year is as neat as it seems but this does seem like a drawback to those of us with a lot of toons who bought outfit slots on a lot of toons.

Yeah, I've got at least 3 slots on all 7 of my characters. I bought that because each needed 3 outfits. I don't need to have unnecessary 21 outfits on every character. If we get refunded some crowns that'd be great, but I'm not expecting it.

There is also that pessimistic part of me that's wondering if this is also a lot less gratuitous than we think - like if the slot we buy is account wide and then we assign it to a character (instead of as it is now that you have to buy/accept the slot on the character in question and avoid doing so on the wrong character)

older DLC's and 200 outfit slots a lot diffrent not only in price but time of buying them ( lets just say last event somebody got 20 slots for new life ) and ALL 3 DLCs have been free to play for years with eso+ and tbh should have been part of the base game since 2022 ( going off GREYMOOR being the newest of the 3 ) since they have been free to play since 2021 with eso+

I'd personally prefer to have a lot more slots since there's a ton of motifs in game that I'd rather see. I don't need more crowns, I'd really love more than 10 outfit slots per character though.

I hadn't considered players might have all 10 on multiple characters. 200 would probably be pushing it, but a bit of an increase would at least show recognition of the problem.

Even if they just put it up to 20 it would be a nice gesture. At least players would get something they didn't already have in recognition of the massive amount they've spent on them. Even an extra 2 would at least be something!

I don't see them refunding crowns especially considering the large numbers involved, but maybe one of these new currencies would be an alternative too. I guess ideally it would be a combination of the two.

I'm at the opposite end of the scale but I'd still like clarification on how this will work.

I bought 1 extra outfit slot on 1 character, does that mean I'll now have 1 more slot on all my other characters, or is it only slots bought after the change which are account wide?

I agree they should also clarify whether there's any possibility of a refund or exchange for people who have excess slots now.

I have around 40 outfit slots across multiple characters. So I’m wondering would that mean each of my characters would have a total of 40 outfit slots, or only 10 and I’ve wasted 45,000 crowns for nothing?

Well if they did refund the extra slots, by some miracle, I guess a lot of crowns would be winging their way back to the purchaser. How many slots have been 'gifted' ?. (Not just commenters here, but game wide overall)

I expect the account-wide slots to cost a good chunk more than the individual slots (although still making for a better overall value). So, I think the question of refunds is kind of moot.

Even if you have 20 characters and you've already bought 10 outfit slots on every single one, I think they are technically giving you something anyway: You'll be able to delete 20 of those characters and the new ones you'll create will already have the same amount of outfit slots without having to repurchase them (by my understanding of how it will work) - this was not not the case before.

20 characters with 10 outfit slots comes to 300,000 crowns. Do you really think people who’ve spent that many crowns would be satisfied with ‘technically something anyway’?

You are implying that's my opinion. That's not my opinion - I was just giving an insight on a point someone could have missed.
It's better not to argue when people have heavy feelings involved: neither me or the other person would achieve anything.

Account wide outfit slots additive up to 10. Because they were character specific previously, you may have bought multiple slots. So these will now be added together.

Each slot will be by character. So each character can wear different outfits.

Looking at possibly allowing you to copy outfits across characters.

Also looking at possibly doing armory slots because Kira wants to but that's not guaranteed. Just something she as an individual would find nice.

Still discussing what to do about people who have more than 10 outfit slots.

Limited to 10. This is really disappointing for people who have spent a literal fortune on multiple characters

Yeah. I have more than 10 slots and I'm not happy about this. I had not maxed them out on any characters and I am happy that they will have access to it. But I'm not happy that ones in excess of 10 that I bought are essentially worthless now

I bought Dark Brotherhood, Wrothgar, Thieves Guild and Greymoor, but they're going to be included in the base game soon. Should I expect a refund too?

You still have access to those dlc. This isn't just a change in price, it's potentially the removal of a paid purchase. We don't know enough about this yet to make judgment but those two scenarios are not comparable. It's normal for stuff to go on sale or be reduced in price as time depreciates it's value. It's another for stuff to be discontinued.

Was the limit previously over 10 slots per character? If not, then nothing was lost.

Making things cheaper/more accessible is always a nice thing. Even if it makes past purchases feel wasteful. Much like anything later going on sale or given away for free.

What someone paid for was accessing all of those slots before this change. They got what they paid for, even if now it kind of feels bad that so much was spent that now does not have future value.

It is lost because it's a slot I paid real money for that was over the limit that I was not informed of at time of purchase. If I purchased 13 slots and now I have 10 slots, that's 3 slots that I spent money on for nothing.
