The snowball one has different targets, too. Or the chance of different targets, I should say. I was hoping the Auridon one had different people to deliver to, but I got the same one twice. Hope I get to see the others! I like talking to new npcs.
I wonder if they all do have some variety to them, but it's random which one you'll get, and so you could end up getting the same thing over and over.
At any rate, I'm enjoying them well enough. They don't bring a lot of new lore, but they do bring some, and I always appreciate that.
I didn't get any new ones yesterday. Have you found more?
So far it "only" seems to be 2 parts of the Alikr quest, 2 versions of the Auridon quest, and I think the snowball quest always has a bigger pool of targets marked, you just don't need to get all of them?
If I've seen all of them at least once, I think I'll focus on feeding elderly Altmer now. Hope I won't overfeed them.
I love the elder feeding one and I really want to know what potion the carrot soup elder made for King Hidelleth (I have an idea, but I'd like to know for certain!).

I disagree. If we're not willing to give feedback on what we DO like then we run the risk of them thinking we don't like it and change it. New Life is for me one of the best handled events in the game. It's pretty perfect because it's cognizant of what's happening IRL, it's got interesting writing, and it is works well as a catch-up event.
I do want more from other events but I like New Life as is. Writhing Wall and New Life serve different purposes so I have different expectations of them. I genuinely enjoyed this update to New Life and the quests. So that's the feedback I should give.
This game has a lot of moving parts. Some of the systems need major updates. Some are already fun. And ofc we need more new stuff to do. Liking one aspect of the game as is doesn't prevent me from disliking another. Willingness to present a nuanced opinion on the game helps the devs knows what is working and what is not and more accurately identify what's urgent. I don't think it serves me or them to be purely positive or purely negative.

That's not exactly what I said.
I'm not saying we shouldn't give them feedback on what we do like. Of course we should.
I said we shouldn't thank them for that. We paid a lot of money for such little content.
What we got this year for the full price is objectively very little.
There is a difference between saying, "this is going in the right direction, but you need to keep making efforts," and saying, "Thank our ZOS team for delivering a wonderful New Life event experience."
For now, I'm sorry, but I really don't see why I would say "thank you." I still think I didn't get half of what I paid for.
I'm truly sorry, but I'm not into this "positive attitude" vibe. The game needs more and better content very quickly if we don't want the players pool to keep shrinking. Adding a few extra quests to a 10-years old event is far from being enough.

And I gave negative feedback about how little we were getting this year in threads meant for that.
But New Life isn't something I was expecting an update on at all. It's not part of the paid content this year. It's just a nice, unexpected bonus that made the end of the year just a little better. So yeah, I'm glad for it. And I hope they continue such practices. I really loved this update to this particular event and this thread is about this event. I'm glad OP made this thread so I could share that. I hope ZOS doesn't forget small QOL changes like these. Because QOL is important to continue to address alongside major changes. We shouldn't be getting one or the other but both.

And please, don't tell me that "it takes time, we need to be patient." We've been waiting for these things to be fixed for 3, 5, sometimes 10 years now. No more excuses. I just wanna see concrete results, not promises or small additions.

That's precisely my point: I don't want exciting news or promises. I just want concrete results.

I know but we can't expect changes that were supposed to be part of 2026 in 2025. I'm not saying 2025 hasn't been disappointing, it has. I'll also be basing my decision on playing on what actually happens in 2026. But, it isn't 2026 yet.
This time of year the only thing I expected was the New Life event. And, imo, they knocked that out of the park. The new house is gorgeous. They gave us 7 new and interesting quests and didn't make us run back and forth to take them. The new style page drops easily. At least 2025's final event of the year is ending on a high note. 2026 will be here soon enough and then I'll reassess how I feel about the game's direction at that time.

There are other threads devoted to the very things that you're complaining about. No need to derail this one.
