Unfortunately I can't really see where it fits into any of the class sub-themes though, it's just slightly too purple and cloudy for Sorc's "Dark Magic" that is more bluish and crystal themed and no other class outside of NB skill styles really has any purple theming for their skills (NB skill styles are more black with a faint purple tinge than the full purple shown here).

One order of Fatcarver: Aetherius aka Fatecarver Purple, coming right up!

Is this visible if someone has "Show Ally Effects" turned off, because I know the blue one is visible regardless, and that purple is going to wreck havoc with my eyes?
@ZOS_Kevin There have been many posts about being able to turn off visual effects. If ZOS are not going to do that, then at least put skill styles behind the "Show Ally Effects". My eyes > ZOS selling crowns.

Yes, it's fully visible with the setting turned off. The green beam looks thinner and lighter, but purple ones are full blast with snow particle effects. It's obnoxious.

Ugh! I'm going to step away from this thread before I get a forum ban ...!
Far as I'm concerned, this crown sale beam is bugged. Why? Because while the color and sound are subjective to personal taste, the lack of laser-pointer like beam is functionally lacking vs default beam.
Default beam - area effect animation around front of char + green beam clearly visible through the mobs you are hitting (e.g. laser pointer effect)
This purple beam for 2k crowns - area effect animation around front of char + no visible laser pointer purple beam (to the player). The beam is clearly visible to other players, but from pov of player firing this purple beam, it's only visible as a laser pointer when you point high angle down or up - straight ahead, all you see is the area effect animation.
I would really like to point out that during the time of year that it was on sale, a lot of us travel and for something so wanted I think it should be considered that the skill style goes on sale a little more often. The same should probably be said for other skill styles as well. You can't really make money from purchases people want to make when they're not available

The blue one was still pretty bad but better than green. The purple one definitely looks better, though I do wish we could actually see where we are aiming it. Hopefully they dont add a beam to the Warden (please no more beams!)

I'm surprised there isn't a crown store website that you can purchase from directly to your ESO account while you're on vacation.

To my knowledge, they are adding a beam/channel option to every class, and I think it's the right way to go so that not so many people are wanting to multiclass into arcanist for the aoe damage.
I'm excited for sorcerer to get one.
